Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

The smell is oranges, sweet, spices, little alcohol, fruits, and yeast. The look is cloudy, bright orange in color with an ok white head. The taste is yeast, fruits, alcohol, spices, and stone fruits.

Pours golden hazy, beige head. Aroma, candi sugar and yeasty. Taste, malty, thick grainy notes and lots of alcohol with sweet honey. Some fruits (citrus). Overall sweet with a medium body and thick mouthfeel. Leaves a light apple/cider taste.

Golden appearance with a moderate head. The flavor is very acidic like heartburn in a bottle. A very sour flavor is present. Lemons and more lemons. More decent stuff from Avery.

on tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Pours pretty deep golden color. Sweet fruity aroma of peach, caramel. Flavor of caramel sweetness, alcohol tingles the palte. Pretty spicy. Nice beer

There’s a joke in here about finding salvation in a bottle, but I’ll leave that to the professionals.

An amber/orange colored brew under an average and fading, off-white head. Good Belgian character in the aromas, which ran the gamut of caramel maltiness, grapefruit hopiness and light, doughy yeastiness... along with honey and alcohol. Flavor was a bit wanting, however, starting with heavy sugars proceding to some middle malts and ending with some strong alcohol that quickly canceled out all the flavor. After a promising start, it ended rather "blah".

I purchased this bottle in 2006. I must say the age did not treat this beer well. Gold pour with white head. spicy aroma and flavor with notable notes of cardboard leaving me to believe it is oxidized

Clear golden body with a minimal white head. The aroma is sweet honey and yeast. The flavor is quite fruity and complex. The lingering aftertaste is that of honey dipped peaches. Full body with a lively carbonation. Pretty good stuff.
