Yeasty biscuits and a nice amount of sugar-coated hops in the nose. The spices taste like a mixture that would go great on toast (cinnamon, anice, brown sugars). The hops are bold for the style, but always welcomed in my glass of ale! Fresh, moist biscuit dough and a touch of the spices are left behind after the last gulp. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA

It is medium-bodied and slightly sweet, but leaves a bitter chalky taste on the tongue. Very nice. iowaherkeye (1858), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 10, 2006 Pours a clear orange copper with a medium, creamy off-white head. Aroma of raisins, dust, sweet caramel malts, candied sugar and fruits. Taste is much the same with some spices, the dust and alcohol more apparent in the taste. Light, almost watery mouthfeel. Lingering bitterness. Pretty good. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2004 Orange. Very nice aroma of ripe, dripping apricots, citrus fruits, sweet malt and sugars. Sugary as hell in the flavor yet not cloying. Big, bursting fruity flavor with notes of tangerine, apricot, grapefruit and orange. Medium bodied but silky and smooth. A delightful beer. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 5, 2004 #500!! Pours a rich amber color, slightly bronzed. Thin head and little lacing. Aromas of wheat, malt, some honey and citrus hops. Probably sweet orange peels. Nice floral characters as well. Complex flavors. Hops and coriander or clove come out right at the beginning. This leads into a mellow and smooth maltiness that lasts until some bittering hops finish it all off. Fruits are abundant, more orange, some sweet and some bitter. Hints of banana and bubblegum tease as well. Full body, tangy and spice filled palate, and a nice complex finish of fruits, spice and hops. Definately a delectable Belgian. Not the best, but I think it was damn good.
