Very hoppy for the style. Bright to boot. Slightly creamy. Clove. A bit of calcium carbonate? Medium to very effervescent. This is a strange but welcome space. Very cool. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 23, 2005 Pours with a one-finger cream head, fades quickly and leaves no lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Nose is peach/spices. Starts with a sweet, spicey flavor but the alcohol is there, hops are there at the finish. Different from Belgian strong pales but not bad. $6.20 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma. sloth (1678), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Big, spicey, appley, citrus nose! sweet. Medium body with a somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Kinda soda poppy also? Citrusy, bready flavor. Nice hop presence. Finish is med/dry. The alc. also makes itself known. Avery makes some interesting brews. Odeed (1677), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2007 From a 22 oz bottle purchased in West Springfield, MA from Table and Vine and consumed last night on my recent trip east this poured a cloudy orange with a moderate sized off-whiite head and good thick lacing. Nose shows an aroma of fruits and lots of yeast, and a hint of hops. Moutfeel was creamy and a tad sticky. Flavor is sweet and shows caramel and apples. Finish is sweet and a tiny bit of bitterness shows through. Overall a bi differenet but in the end I finished the bottle so it was drainkable. GG (1656), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 24, 2008 This one just wasn’t for me. If I wanted to drink rubbing alcohol, I know exactly where to find it. I simply don’t want it in my beer. For me, this had a decisively isopropyl flavor, especially on the finish. Gave me the shivers each time I would swallow the sip. The aroma has a pleasant fruityness, combined with a clean malt/yeast profile really had me going for a second. This just failed to deliver. Overly sweet, too much alcohol...just bleh.
