Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

On tap at the Happy Gnome. Light, golden orange in color. Syrupy and pungent aroma of sour orange and urinal alcohol. Tastes of lemon zest and some floral hops with a slight but forceful presence of alcohol. Palate is light but not hollow, and quite smooth. Not memorable, and made with a sloppy design, though it retains tolerability throughout.

From a bottle. Pours a golden color with a fairly small white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is filled with tropical fruit such as banana and light pineapple with some alcohol. Flavor is filled with the same fruits as the aroma with a slightly spicy finish and of course lingering alcohol like most of Avery’s big beers. Enjoyable but not spectacular.

I let this one sit in a box for a while before I remembered it... maybe a year? Shiny clear amber/gold/orange color. Thin white soapy ring. Malty aroma. Kind of odd... very sweet banana. Taste is slightly stale, mostly sweet banana. Slight hop notes, but very sweet fruity malt. Kind of pleasant, but not with too much.

Pale amber, small head. Sweet aroma & taste; almost sugary. Nice!! Fruits of all kinds are apparent: Apple, grape, grapefruit, peach, nectarine. Complex and wonderful.

Aroma is a sweet cider like scent. Color is a deep golden with good carbonation and almost no head, there is just a thin ring around the edge. Taste is thin and winy. Starting with a light/medium body that goes down crisp with a wine like sweetness come in then there is a sour twang that leads into a bold alcohol feel. A bitterness come out as the alcohol taste fades. There is something just not right about this brew, there is almost no Belgian yeast taste, but there is an odd sourness and the alcohol is to prevalent on the end. Its just not a good Belgian-Style Ale.

Pours a yellow/ golden color. Big white puffy head with bubbles in the body. Alcohol content is well hidden by the taste of yeast and fruit. Some what sour flavor but goes down pretty smooth and actually tastes more like a trippel.
