Poured a cloudy golden orange.Mid-sized head.Fruity-citruc aroma, followed by yeast. The alcohol is hidden behind some fruit and bananna. The final result. Bettter for summer then winter. It is a refreshing ale. Nice. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA

Reminds me of Crystal Light. Much more subdued aroma than is typical for Avery’s big brews. Really great mouthfeel. Very soft and velvety. Pronounced yeast and citrus flavors. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2005 22oz. Bomber: This one pours a darker golden color. There was a limited amount of head on it, and it died off quickly. There is a very apealing aroma to this beer. No one scent is on top, but I get definite notes of apricots, nutmeg, and some yeastiness. The taste is quite slick. There aare the peaches and apricots in there, as well as some spiciness. I like this alot! fly (1332), austin, Tejas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2004 Was looking for true salvation. Got some salivation going, but as much as I admire Avery, and I do, I wasn't bowled over by this. Does one NEED to be? No. Twas rather good, malty, complex, and more, but guess I was searching for a boarding pass to Belgium and all I got was a very good beer. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 21, 2005 2003 bottle. Thin off white head on clear amber with a few translucent flakes floating. Fruity candi sugar and green raisen aroma with some whiskey. Smooth and still on the palate. A complex fruit basket flavor with fig, yellow plum and dried apricot. Interesting, tart, almost tannic finish that fights with the prior flavors. A really amazing chorus of flavors that doesn’t quite harmonize. JMerritt (1318), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 8, 2003 Sampled at the Peoria International Beer Festival. Golden colored, no head, slightly hazy. Apricot aroma. Flavor is not as mellowed as I was hoping. Instead, it was a tad too over-hopped with little malt balance. Perhaps this is one best sampled after it has been aged. Straight out of the bottle, I was a tad underimpressed. Darkover (1313), Columbus, Ohio, USA
