Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Bottle. Poured orange with a creamy white head that left light lace. Floral aromas with fruit, grain, and light malts also found. Floral and fruity flavor. Medium body and sweet.

I can’t believe this only rates an 89. I found it to be excellent. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a big, fat white head. Nice fruity, yeasty aroma. Rich flavor full of sweet fruitness with a dash of spice. Nice and full on the palate. A wonderful Belgian strong ... actually one of the few (outside of Unibroue) non-Belgian breweries to nail the style, in my opinion.

(Bottle) Pours a light amber color with little head, but champaign-like carbonation. Light fruit and yeast in the aroma. Taste included some sugary cotton candy notes, some vanilla, and a good amount of spice as well. Light hops as well. Good palate and fizzy mouthfeel. The alcohol is nicely masked within the beer.

The Salvation pours a dark golden color with an average head. The aroma is not my favorite--straw, very faint fruit, some coriander or other spice and a definite skunk aroma behind it all. The flavor suprised me after the aroma had dissapointed. The tastes were refreshing and light. Most of the flavors were of a light caramel malt with a hint of fruit. The aroma threw it off from time to time--but overall I enjoyed the brew. At this ABV, the alcohol is pretty much non-existent. The finish is dry, but a drink of this beer does refresh. I’ll be glad to have it again in the future."

22 oz. bottle courtesy jerc. Golden colour with a frothy off-white head. Caramel, light alcohol, honey, citrus, and tea leaves (or perhaps one of those peach ice tea concoctions) aroma. Caramel, tea, citrus, light alcohol, and leafy hop flavour. Medium bodied but smooth and hides the alcohol well.

Pours a deep gold color with a medium foamy white head. Lots of spicy hops and ripe fruit in the aroma. Sweet flavor of fruit gives away to some hop bitterness, with a bit of alcohol bite. Pretty good.
