Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Pours a deep golden with a whipped head that quickly dissipates but leaves a nice foamy cover and some thick thighs. Nose of luscious peach and vanilla, a very promising aroma. A fairly syrupy body without the CO2 that I would expect such a beer to have. Not mouthfilling at all. Flavor complements the aroma, not the other way around. Another nice American go at a belgian ale......Bottle Conditioning?!?!?!?!

Gold in the glass with a brief white variable head. Some lacing. Fantastic label. Aromas are strong pit fruit, especially peach, and some lemon. There is a malt presence here, too, slightly nutty, along with some soapiness of yeast. Astringent beer, with some clove/cinnamon spice and a light finish. Soft palate, yes, but at the cost of the hops. Still, a delicate, fine brew if you aren’t looking for a hop-heavy Belgian strong.

Nice lighter beer with a full hop and citrus nose. Nice full flavor with an alcohol kick. Finishes strong.

Candi suagr and flowers. Good, deep golden. Doughy, yeasty sweet with clean floral finish like eating a daisy. Not complex.

apricot colored, see through. 2 inch dense foam top. Mild Belgian yeast, malt and spice aroma. The flavor is tart, bittersweet, yeasty, and mellow alcohol. It tickles the tongue, and goes down easy with a warm feeling.

This should be so much better than it is. This is a great brewery and a really fun style, but this doesn't come together. Ultra sweet, barleywine like character without complexity. Ham handed and disappointing.

Sour aroma with a hint of cinnamon. Taste is sweetness masked by sour with a strong liquory undertow and a salty aftertaste. ($5/22oz)
