Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Poured a clear orange with a medium sized off-white head. Spicy yeasty aroma with fruit underneath. Flavor starts spicy and gets spicier toward the finish. Some fruit and toffee underneath. Dry warming finish.

Bomber. Poured medium orange with a short-lived cap of white head... receded to spotty dusting and a ring after a short while. The nose found light fruits (apricot and orange zest), caramel and other sweetness, and clovey spices... decent, but not great. Flavor was sweet with fruity and alcohol sugars.. the booze factor was at the high-end, and it wasn’t really complimentary.. tacky caramel and woodsy notes across the middle through the finish. This was certainly a BIG BEER, but didn’t flow well.

Yeasty aroma, cloudy orange, a nice head with lace. Hoppy yet creamy, grapefruit bitterness on palate. Another purposely over-the-top hopped-up Avery. Full mouthfeel, some spicyness and drying finish. Would have been fine with hope restraint. Maybe some cellaring. Thanks Tupalev.

Bottle (650ml). Poured clear amberish gold with a decent but diminishing white head. Spicy, yeasty, fruity sweet malt aroma, some alcohol, quite a bit of tart, almost sour fruit on warming (persimmon?). Taste is a real melange of fruit, spice, yeast, bitterness, alcohol - Lord, this is not balanced or blended, but it sure is fun. Average body, lively, herbal, sticky mouthfeel - leaves a bit of an apple core aftertaste - the alcohol sneaks up and packs a punch - short linger; my wife and I split the bomber and we were merry o yes!

Clean amber, small crown on top. Sweet, fruity aroma, noticeable alcohol. Medium-light body, soft texture, some wheat like character. Alcoholic finish. This al would benefit from lower alcohol content.

Medium orange color. Medium head. Aroma is fruity, touches of apricot and peach. A fuller bodied Belgian Ale. Sweet and fruity; peaches, apricots, pineapple, sweet malts and vanilla. Very fizzy carbonation. Touch of candy sugars? Hops are very prominent, floral and citrusy. Very hoppy for a Belgian Ale, but it seems to work somehow. Very smooth taste, hides the 9% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Bottle. Golden body, with a small white head. Funky sweet yeasty aroma is sort of unique. Not quite floral, light bready caramel notes. Flavour contains similar characteristics, and notes of what one drinker described as tea leaves. Its not quite right, but its the closest thing i can think of. Palate is smoothish but on the light side. Doesn’t really do it for me, but it may have suffered a bit for being such a contrast to the sour beers imbibed previously. Thanks for the bottle Probiere!

Bottle. I really like this golden ale. Pours golden color with a sweet malty peachy/pear aroma. Good spiciness is well detectable throughout this offering. One of my favorites from avery.
