Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Slightly hazy deep golden amber with a good lively head which fades slightly. Aroma is fruity with lots of esters, and balanced by yeasty and spicy phenolics. Some pepper aromas as well. Slightly sweet, yeasty flavor with a good finish. Body is low to medium. The high carbonation and high alcohol combine to really knock you on your ass.

Beautiful clear true amber body that catches the light wonderfully and seems to actively glow. The head is smaller and fades more quickly than I’d like considering the style, but I can’t take off too much for that. Very ripe stone fruit and clove in the aroma. The flavor is dry one sip and sweet the next with a bit of caramel and a bit of dry hay in the malt. The heat of the alcohol is felt, but it doesn’t overpower the rest of the beer. Every once in a while I get a wish of sour dishrag, but it’s not strong and not always there.

I had a bottle of this for Easter dinner, 2004--theologically appropriate, I think. Lovely golden-amber color, not much head, apparent stickiness as it swirls. Big beer, definitely. Bright aroma of sugar, honey, citrus, alcohol. Lots of malts in the flavors but just as much spiciness, apparently from a combination of the alcohol and hops. Plenty of fruitiness, especially at the colder temperatures, with the quality fading with the temperature. Hoppy bitterness in finish. Big flavors, attractive at times, and yet disconcerting.

Bottled and poured into a tumber. I’ve had this bottle sitting around in the bottom of my ice box for something like six months. I’m finally going to drink it. It pours copper-colored with a thin rocky head. It smells sweet like peaches and acidic with hops. the body is light but this beer is chock full of flavor. The flavors closely mimic the aroma and consist of peaches. The finish is slightly oily and the sweetness lingers.

This beer poured a copperish golden color. Formed a very light white head which left some nice lace. Slight citrus and malt aroma to it with a slight hint of alcohol. Alot of carbonation which is common for this style. Taste was of light citrus and malt with some alcohol present. Not the best representation of this style

Poured a light very cloudy orange. Head is thin and orange tinted. The aroma is fruity cranberry sauce and banana bread. Makes me think of Christmas candy. The taste is also fruity with peaches, bananas and some toasted bread. Finishes with a slightly spicy nutmeg. Very nice and light on the palate for the abv.

Bottled: Golden coloured. Clear. Off white dense medium sized head. Sweet, fruity, light alchol and fruit in the aroma. Flavour is smooth. Sweetness, fruit, hops and a light citric touch. Is nicely sweet and hoppy in the end. Medium bodied and quite a treat.

This is a good Belgian Strong ALe. Spicy, malty, and citric flavors. Finishes clean, crisp, and bitter.
