Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Rerate, sober this time: Apricot-colored w/a white & foamy head. Fresh yeasty nose. Sharp and strong mouthfeel. Interesting and subtle burnt flavor in the malt. Large hop bitterness in the finish; dryish too. Seems to improve in flavor and become richer with every sip.

Nice domestic belgian style. Has a nice yeast flavor. Pours golden with some a medium head which totally dissipates. Fairly heavy lacing. Flavor and palate are strong points. Good, but not quite in the same category as New Belgium.

strong yeasty straw aroma, a bit buttery. Golden glowing color with a medium rocky head. Really piney bittery, resinous hops for a tripple.

This brew pours nicely, not a lot of fizz but a nice white head and lingering lace. It’s a translucent golden color with a sweet and spicy aroma. The dry taste reminds me of some of my favorite brews from Unibroue or whatever it’s called now. It’s spicy, sweet, fruity, with some peppery notes, especially at first sip. It definitely warms on the way down! It finishes nicely too, with some lingering, hoppy fruit and spice. I like this kind of brew, and it’s a nice change from some of the sweet, thick Avery offerings I’ve experienced lately!

22 oz. bottle courtesy jerc. Golden colour with a frothy off-white head. Caramel, light alcohol, honey, citrus, and tea leaves (or perhaps one of those peach ice tea concoctions) aroma. Caramel, tea, citrus, light alcohol, and leafy hop flavour. Medium bodied but smooth and hides the alcohol well.

A very good belgian style ale. I’ve been quite impressed with most of Avery’s brews. This one is no exception.

Thick golden Belgian style ale. Looks good, and has a very nice color. Candy sugar taste, sort of like The Reverend Lite.

Pours a golden amber with big white frothy head. Smells of spicy hops, sweet malts and candy sugar, and alcohol. Nice hops and citrus flavors, and then a strong kick of malty sweetness.
