It is medium-bodied and slightly sweet, but leaves a bitter chalky taste on the tongue. Very nice. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA

Aromas are strong pit fruit, especially peach, and some lemon. There is a malt presence here, too, slightly nutty, along with some soapiness of yeast. Astringent beer, with some clove/cinnamon spice and a light finish. Soft palate, yes, but at the cost of the hops. Still, a delicate, fine brew if you aren’t looking for a hop-heavy Belgian strong. Beer is light amber hue with a slight head. More balanced than some of Avery’s high abv beers. joergen (8637), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Clear golden coloured with a medium sixed off white head.
Sweet aroma of fruits and spices with notes of hops.
Sweet flavour with lots of fruits and spices and a hoppy finish. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA

Reminds me of Crystal Light. Much more subdued aroma than is typical for Avery’s big brews. Really great mouthfeel. Very soft and velvety. Pronounced yeast and citrus flavors. drfabulous (1275), Columbia, Missouri, USA

Salvation is the nice Belgian style that overshadows a good chunk of the market. CMUBEERMAN (415), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma is very good...toasted lady fingers...spice, sweet malt and fruit...a bit of belgian yeast. Taste is actually fairly wheatish...must be the spice. Alcohol is totally balanced. Mouthfeel is very crisp and dry. JCB (1796), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2007 Been a while since I’ve had this one, and I recall it being imbalanced and trending towards cloying malt sweetness. Thankfully, this bottle is quite different and combines a very lively champagne fizz with the dry quality of a fine blond and the fruits of a tripel. Nicely hopped to boot and with a substantial body. A good one.
