Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

A light brown sugar, bread, and yeastiness on the nose of this light orange pour. A frothy white head and lace. A nice abv warmth, followed by, followed by an almost apricot, and an almost orange. A medium/full bodied beer with decent carbonation.

(Bottle) Pours a light amber color with little head, but champaign-like carbonation. Light fruit and yeast in the aroma. Taste included some sugary cotton candy notes, some vanilla, and a good amount of spice as well. Light hops as well. Good palate and fizzy mouthfeel. The alcohol is nicely masked within the beer.

Pours golden with lots of bubbles. Fruity esters in the aroma accompanied by some spice and some floral hops. The flavor is very similar almost to a tee. Zesty carbonation and mouth-feel. I enjoyed it.

650ml bottle pours a slightly hazy orangish-gold color with a decent head. fruity with a 9% dry alcohol taste. Another fine Avery brew, but I think I like the collaboration a little better.

22oz. Bomber $4.99 Binny’s Orland Purchased this along with Collaboration to give them both a try. Salvation poured a hazy glowing golden/prange. Very fine carbonation bubbles rise to the half finger head that formed on the pour. The head fades quickly to a whispy swirling that thickens around the edges of the glass. Sticky lacing. The smell is loaded with candy sugar. A solid dose of fruity yeast esters show through in the form of banana. A bready malt is at the bottom of things creating a banana bread aroma. Mild caramel as well. Sweet. Smells wonderfully appetizing. The flavor has a definate banana bread characteristic. Mild caramel with a touch of sweetness. Mid-palate shows a musty quality and is quickly followed up by a lively powdery yeast and candy sugar finish. Mild spiciness on the swallow. Body is on the lighter side of medium with lively carbonation that tickles the tongue. Really comes alive on the swallow. Drinkability is good. Enjoyable flavors and nice carbonation compliment each other nicely. This is a solid Belgian Golden. Not as complex and unique as some but definately enjoyable and easy drinking. The price is good too at $4.99 a bomber. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again. 2/25/07
