Nice dry alcohol to start. Minimal spice- becomes quite cloying at the halfway mark. Sweetness is about to do itself in. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Dark golden to light amber colored pour, solid, thick white head. Aroma of spearmint, cotton candy and bubble gum. Flavor has some of the same accents wirh some toffee like malty sweetness - quite delectable. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, coats the mouth. Finish is strong - lets you know you just had a 9% ABV beer, but is hidden well. Another stellar product from Avery. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2003 Pours a rich golden brown. Small off-white head. Nose has hop pininess, ripened fruit, and spice. Definite malt and fruit notes interspersed with hops in the taste. Maybe peach mixed with light pine. Pleasantly smooth mouthfeel. Indeed this is hoppier than any Belgian style beer I can think of off-hand. This would be NICE if aged for a few years. Nevertheless, quality stuff from Avery! Panzuriel (996), Westerville, Ohio, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 26, 2003 Medium orange color. Medium head. Aroma is fruity, touches of apricot and peach. A fuller bodied Belgian Ale. Sweet and fruity; peaches, apricots, pineapple, sweet malts and vanilla. Very fizzy carbonation. Touch of candy sugars? Hops are very prominent, floral and citrusy. Very hoppy for a Belgian Ale, but it seems to work somehow. Very smooth taste, hides the 9% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet. kyzr (1132), Belgrade, Montana, USA
