Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

bottle poured a cloudy amber in color with a big head that almost continued to grow from the carbination. smells of fruits, yeasts, spice, and some hops. taste is as the smell would let you think, good body with a full and somewhat creamy texture, good hops for the beer, spices, and some good fruits. good beer and masks the 9% rather well.

Had the version of 2008, 2005, and 2002 in a vertical tasting. Very nice and still the 2002 version was the best

Really nice american belgian ale. Easy drinking for a "big beer", lots of flavor with a fruity, malty and big spiciness. Some noticeable alcohol but big sweetness masks it well

Pours a nice amber color with a one finger, decently lasting white head. Smells of flowers, clove and spice. Strong alcohol taste up front, but finished with a nice floral hop profile and some bread notes. Nice mouthfeel.

Dark honey color with a frothy white head that dissipates fast but leaves nice lacing. Sweet aroma of honey and apple. Lots of malt in the flavor with just a bit of hoppiness at the end. Finishes dry with a bit of alcohol warmth. Well balanced and quite drinkable.

[Bottle] Poured at a blind tasting at the Cellars. Poured a clear gold with moderate off whiteish head. Aroma is sorta musty, with some cloves and spice. Flavor is pretty malty and sweet with a gradually growing bitterness. Nice rich, full mouthfeel.
