Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

A bit darker than I expected, and also hoppier than I'd have liked. Aftertaste is malty, but nice. Efferfescent and frothy, but not as much as some Belgians (Dubel). I liked it.

Glowing hazy apricot color with a creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel, belgian candy sugar, apricot and spice aroma. Nice sweet belgian candy sugar, apricot, honey, and floral flavors with some hops in the finish. Soft feel, nice tiny bubbles.

Decent head from the pour. Low carbonation. Great aroma. Peaches, yeast, spices, its all in there. Color is a slightly hazy golden ornage. Soft flavor, slightly sweet with more spices, light fruit, decent malt balance. Crisp and clean and very easy drinking. Finish is slightly bitter and warming from the alcohol. This is some good stuff. Surprised that it is not rated higher. A very good belgian ale!

Very spicy, peppery, and perfumy nose, I don’t typically care much for "perfume" in my beer, but this is a very nice combination; great complex, hoppy, and fruity flavor with ample maltiness and a tangy, peppery finish; oily finish. Probably the most artistic bottle ever, and an outstanding beer!

Bottle poured into a tulip produced a small head that turns to a nice lace on top of a hazy orange body Wonderful aromas of sweet Belgian yeast, fruit and malts Flavors of sweet citrus and spices (pepper) Medium to light body Drinkability: It’s not a bad American Belgian if you can find it at a reasonable price it’s worth the try and yes I’d drink it again

From tap served in a heavy glass goblet Light orange with a nice light foamy head on top which lasted the entire glass coating the sides as it went down. Smelled of fruits and alcohol with a sweetness. When it firsts hits your tongue it has a sweetness but a wholesome kind of sweetness not sugary. Then you get fruit flavors with a little bit of alcohol and a very slight bitterness - a very nice balance Has a very nice carbonation throughout that lasted the entire time. It is crisp and creamy at the same time and goes down very smoothly. The flavors stay in your mouth for a while and you can feel the warmth spreading around throughout your mouth and down your throat. I really enjoyed this beer. It went down smoothly and the taste was consistent even getting richer as it warmed and opened up. You can definitely feel the high alcohol content so I savored the beer for a while.
