Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

I let this one sit in a box for a while before I remembered it... maybe a year? Shiny clear amber/gold/orange color. Thin white soapy ring. Malty aroma. Kind of odd... very sweet banana. Taste is slightly stale, mostly sweet banana. Slight hop notes, but very sweet fruity malt. Kind of pleasant, but not with too much.

Big bottle. Pale colored ale, thin head, fruity aroma. On tasting the "bubblegum" was most prominent. Read about this before, now it is good to have had the experience.

Nice orange pour with a fluffy white head, active carbonation and thick lace. Lemon and spice aroma... some coriander. The alcohol is strong in this one, immediately evident upon tasting. Very creamy mouthfeel, nice carbonation, very ’big’ as they proclaim. In addition to the heavy spice, there is some banana, clove and yeasty notes in there. Crisp, dry finish, lingering alcohol. Not bad.

What a nice label, great start... Poured a cloudy burnt orange color with a small head. Some lacing, nothing much here. Aroma of apricot and slight spice. Fruit forward in the taste. Nice tingly bubbles and medium mouthfeel. Very nice

5.24.05 First beer of my birthday. Whole bottle straigh to the head...setting the tone for things to come. Really nice belgian ale. Fruity aromas and flavors, a little sharp though , alcohol noticeable but nothing 6 months in the cellar couldn’t fix. Overall very good

Golden/orange in color with a medium sized white head. Smells of apricots and spice. Tastes very sweet with a hint of apricot.

Bottle: Aroma is fruit, alcohol, and some hops. Pours a transparent amber with a decent white head. Based on the aroma the flavor is a little suprising. Definitely malty, but not as fruity as I expected. Caramel and peach flavor with a very malty taste and slight alcohol burn in the finish. Spicey. Fruity and alcohol aftertaste. The burn is noticeable but the alcohol flavor itself isn’t overpowering which is nice. It's not hidden all that well, but it balances rather nicely with the other flavors. Hops in the aroma are stronger than the hops in the actual flavor. The aroma and flavor seem to oppose each other. What’s stronger in the aroma is weaker in the flavor and vice versa.
