Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Couresty of Chuck. Cloudy orange body with a small white head. Light oatmealy-husky aroma with sugar cookie malt. Yeasty cookie malt flavor, bit simplisitc but enjoyable. Re-rate, this time from Jason: I got a sample from the bottle of the bottom. BIG aroma - ginger cookie, orange, yeast, caramel. The flavor kicks in with some peppery alcohols, yeast, yogurt, creamy pale malt.

Dark golden color with a thin, lasting white head. Strong malty sweetness with a sublte spicyness to it. Strong hop bitterness in finish.

Sparkling dark gold and yellow, big creamy off white head. Sweet nose of Belgian candi sugar, spices and breadiness, with touches of fuzzy fruit sprinkled throughout. Flavor is similar with a light fruity sweetness that sets this off, but on par with Avery, a nice hop bitterness checks in on the backside to keep everything in check. Unfortunately, the ABV shines a bit too much in my opinion, and at times, this is also on par with Avery. "Take it down a notch Scotty". Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying, spicy fruit finish. Still a nice brew however, but in my opinion, oak aging this one in a chardonnay wine barrel could make this one a true winner. Adam...so what’s the ETA on the barrel aged series?

Hoppy oranges and yeast scrape the lining of a mango peel...Burlesque, unripe honeyed bananas are tangled with candied apricots and herbal, green hop bitterness...The silky, creamy feel leads to an unforeseen alcohol bitterness...Reminds me of Dieu du Ciel’s Dernière Volonté...

I let this one sit in a box for a while before I remembered it... maybe a year? Shiny clear amber/gold/orange color. Thin white soapy ring. Malty aroma. Kind of odd... very sweet banana. Taste is slightly stale, mostly sweet banana. Slight hop notes, but very sweet fruity malt. Kind of pleasant, but not with too much.

Big bottle. Pale colored ale, thin head, fruity aroma. On tasting the "bubblegum" was most prominent. Read about this before, now it is good to have had the experience.

Nice orange pour with a fluffy white head, active carbonation and thick lace. Lemon and spice aroma... some coriander. The alcohol is strong in this one, immediately evident upon tasting. Very creamy mouthfeel, nice carbonation, very ’big’ as they proclaim. In addition to the heavy spice, there is some banana, clove and yeasty notes in there. Crisp, dry finish, lingering alcohol. Not bad.
