Jan 1, 2005 Golden orange very rich looking. Peach malt, spice, and light roasted notes with fresh bread. Heavey weight with a sweetness throughout balanced by the lightly bitter spice and hops. Peach, yeast, spice, bread, sweet light citrus and overall richness. Very nice!

Nov 21, 2004 This one has several different flavors pounding on your tongue: sweet, bitter, fruity, and spicy. All combine in the finish to give you a warm feeling and enough CO2 to give you a good ol’ belch.

Mar 31, 2008 Draft at Trappeze. Have had bottled before and was good but on draft was excellent. Crisp taste with hops and spice. Very easy drinking.

Dec 23, 2004 Appearance: Pours a nice gold with light head and moderate lacing.
Aroma: Definately belgian, with a little spice and a fruity touch here or there.
Palate: Full yet light, moderate dryness, smooth feel but not too thick. Very nice.
Flavor profile: Similar to the Stone Vertical Epic 04, some hops, lots of belgian yeast, some peach and bananas, nicely spiced, touch of honey and sweet malts.
Overall: Pretty good, I will probably get this more regularly as it is quenching, not too expensive, tasty and just the right amount of alcohol.

Jan 13, 2005 This beer is an excellent American interpetation of a belgian beer.Nice golden color, spicy aroma and big alcohol. This beer definatly gets better with age. I currently have 3 years in my beer cellar.

Jul 5, 2005 Pours a dark cloudy golden color with a thin foamy white head. Aromas of fruits and a ting of bitter hops. The flavor at first is a kick in the mouth of hoppy bitterness that slowly fades into a sweet citrus. Very smooth and easy to drink, a great Belgian Strong.

Jun 6, 2006 bought for timtim’s 22nd birthday, it ended the celebrations nicely...has a strong bitter honey taste,reminds me alittle of a baby quad..very drinkable..sneaky...a supermans session.

Oct 9, 2006 Pours, well for lack of better words, golden and clear with a decent, white, pillowy head with some lasting ablilty and nice lacing. Nose is pleasant, notes of orange peel (maybe citrus hops?), corriander, biscuits, yeast, peppery spicy undertones, and a light floral hop aroma. Flavor is great, fruity notes of pear and banana, bisuity and Belgian yeasty, and with great spicy notes including nutmeg and pepper. Bitterness is fairly low and the alcohol is well hidden. Palate is medium to light in body with carbonation being between lively and fizzy and the texture remarkably still being creamy. Finishes dry and slightly bitter after the sweetness fades. A surprisingly excellent Belgian beer from an American brewery. An excellent alternative to so many dark Belgian strongs out there, and quite refreshing to those who may not be a fan of the other types of Belgian beers.
