Pours orangish gold into the glass with a white head. Aroma is funk and a bit of cherry. Plenty of carbonation on this beer. I mainly get the bourbon barrel flavor. Surprisingly smooth for its strength. Sourness is definitely there, but is pretty balanced. Nice beer, very complex

Dec 18, 2009 Big Thanks to SeaBass for sharing this one as a start up for the two of us before my epic tasting.
A: Nice slightly golden hue with a nice tall white head. The head dies to a solid ring and lingers for the duration. Tons of lace as well.
S: Nice wild notes with notes of sweet tarts. Notes of fine white wine and oak.
T: Very tasty beer, much much better than Brabant. Very wine like with strong notes of oak. There is a underlying fruit component with a light tartness.
M: On the lighter side of medium. Great carbonation, crisp, dry finish.
D: Great, a very fine example of the style.

Dec 12, 2009 12oz bottle from alagnak. Slightly hazy dark golden with a brown ruby tint with little head. Tart cherry, peach, cranberries, wet wine cork, with a almost sweet lacto base. The body and flavor is lighter and maybe more approachable than I think I was expecting and the carbonation is a bit more lively than I was thinking I would get. Tart cranberry, peach and orange up front with lacto then some wood and cork characteristics. The dry slightly peppery brett is present but may be getting a little stronger then when this was released. I think this was probably even better fresh with more barrel notes and fruity lacto tartness. Thanks Chris.

Dec 12, 2009 12 oz bottle - thanks to the b to the v to the c; mostly clear dark orange with thin white head; nice sour nose with mix bretty funk, dirty feet, funk, grapes, grapefruit; thin texture and drinks with mild zing; flavors not too complex though with dry brett, lemon, light spice; probably pick up the chardonnay the most from all the barrels; grapes and white wine; sourness muted with brett wet blanket staying strong

Dec 10, 2009 Thanks a ton to the one who shared this from the STL group. Pours amber with an off-white head. The aroma is funky and sour with sour grapes, sweet / tart, sharp berries and light oak. Medium crisp boy with a sharp clean finish. The taste start with a sharpness, brown toasted malt, graininess, slight nuttiness, some funk and spice. The finish is phenolic and dry wine traits. Very nice beer.

Dec 6, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a huge, off-white head and a hazy golden brown body. Aroma of raspberry, fresh fruit, pineapple, cherry, wood and a dry, spicy red wine. Taste is sour with wine, cherry, lacto/pedio. Light bubbles. Nice.

Dec 5, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Notes of white pepper, tangy pineapple, wet yarn, horse blanket, and boozy fermenting berries. Mouthfeel is tangy yet tannic. Like this beer.

Nov 29, 2009 12 ounce bottle, bottled Sept. 18 2009. A big thanks to Jeremy for this, and thanks to Eric for bringing it. Pours a opaque red-brown color with a medium white head. The aroma is strong; sweet funky brett and barrel, light vinous wine notes. A tart and funky flavor; brett, sweet french oak, light fizzy vinous flavors, sour and very much like a white wine or even champagne. Perhaps a bit of bourbon lingers on the end the palate suggesting sweeter flavors that ultimately lose out to barnyard funk and vinous sour flavors. No alcohol present at all really and very easygoing, not over the top in any aspect.
