Holy crap! Strong sugary beer that’s wickedly easy to drink (dangerously so). Almost a wine-like mouthfeel. Outstanding strong ale. Theis (3771), Denmark

Red-orange, no head. A bit too much. A lot of flavour. Sweet - raisins, dates, caramel. Malty. Hoppy - both aroma and bitter. But too much obvious alcholol on top of the sweetness. sayravai (3767), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2005 Updated: May 15, 2008(Bottled in 2007, rated 2008) Clear red-amber with a small head. Somewhat stuffy aroma with lots of grainy-berryish malt. Very grainy-malty flavor with moderate bitterness and quite an alcohol burn. Pretty full-bodied, low-carbonated palate with clearly evident alcohol burn. Ok, but quite alcoholic.
(Bottled@Stockholm Beer Festival 2005, was 7-4-7-4-14=3.6) Red-amber color with a very small head. Liquourish-alcoholic, fruity and slightly oaky aroma with berry hints. Very sweet, liquourish flavor with lots of malt, sugar, cherries and oaky hints. Medium to full-bodied, sugary-sweet and warming-alcoholic palate with no carbonation. Better than Samaels, but still needs maturing. Dedollewaitor (3759), Odense, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Bottle. Batch 4. Nut amber with good thick white head. This one has a thousand things to offer. The question is whether you can appreciate it or not. Strong spicy, alcohol + malty aroma. Taste gives the warmest feel I’ve ever tried from a beer. Sweet toffe, caramel, dark fruits (prunes & raisins) & sugar. A punchy amount of bitter hops is present as well. Overall an extreme alcohol & sweety feel. We were 2 guys sharing a little bottle and that was defenetly a wise choice! This 12 fl. oz. bottle costs around 12 US in Denmark! joss (3685), Garching b. München, Germany

Wood, a hint smoke,
Oily mouthfeel, dry in back of throat.
Perfumed resin aftertaste. Wood.

Poured a rich ruby color with a small tight bubbly off white head that left nice lacing. Medicinal aroma of passion fruit, yeast, and hops. Some alcohol was also noticed in the aroma. Wow, very full mouthfeel, encompassed tastes of chocolate and roasted malt, hops, candy sugar, caramel and of course alcohol. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2004 Dark red color with no head. Slightly cherry aroma. It is definitely unadulterated raw barley in the taste. Some little amounts of hops and yeast, but nothing else stands out other than malt and alcohol.
