Commercial Description:
The Beast is a seducer - accomodating, complicated, powerful, dark and created to last the ages. Beyond this, it’s futile to attempt to describe Him. He will unveil Himself differently to each of His followers. The mark is in His constitution. Brewed with two-row malted barley, honey malt, and imported Belgian specialty grains (aromatic, pale wheat, roasted wheat, and Special B), hops (Magnum, Galena, Saaz, Hallertau, Tettnang, and Hersbrucker), brewing sugars (raisins, dates, blackstrap molasses, alfalfa honey, turbinado, and dark Belgian candy sugar), water, Belgian yeast and another hellion of a yeast strain.OG: 1.138

[Vintage, Batch 4 - 2006] Bottle... Poured an opaque burgundy with a thick beige head. Aroma of brandy alcohol, rum alcohol, raisins and other fruit. Thick, chewy palate that really attacked the palate. Super bitter with strong malts and a thick syrupy, sugary alcohol dominance. Finished with cherries, molasses, and a honey sweetness. This beer is a Beast.

Batch 3. Aged 2 years. Pours deep amber into a Trappist glass. Trace of a head hugs rim. Pit fruit and alcohol aromas. Thick molasses and raisin with a lasting candi finish. Sweet and alcoholic -- but complex and satifsyingly portlike.

Batch 3: 2005 -- Deep mahogony body with a very light tan head. Excellent aroma, caramel, tart fruits, almost port in quality. Deep, thick body, very similar in composition to a thick Imperial Stout. Caramel and fruits dominate with a nice alcohol burn in the ending.

Bottle, batch 3. Pours a dark brown body with a thin tan head. Huge ethyl alcohol aromatic character, very sweet molasses, sweet malt, alcohol latent fruits and sugar. Lighter raisins, plum, and tobacco. Very aggressive body with a strong warming. Wow intense brew.

2006 bottle. Pours a color that is deceiving in that it looks like an amber ale (aka Boont Amber). The aroma comes up and is prune/fig like. The first sip is sweet, really sweet. Raisin and molasses like but very interesting and complex. Early this week I had a DogFish Raisin D’ Extra and this is similar in flavor. This might be slightly easier on the tongue than the DFH. Good dessert/night cap beer but I could never have more than one.

Batch 3 2005. Somewhere around 2 or 3 years old. Pours a nice mahogoney brown color. Small peach colored soapy head that is gone quickly.Smells of bread and sourness. Tastes like pure belgian candy sugar. I get notes of honey, fruit, wheat, and molasses. A bit too sugary for my liking but a great after dinner beer.

Batch 4 (2006) Poured a mahogany color with nice cream colored head. Aroma - very sweet like hard candy, raisins and honey. Flavor - extreme sweet taste with some honey and molasses. Palate - the syrupy creamy sweetness coates your tongue like honey. Definite honey/molasses aftertaste that lingers. Reminds me of when I chewed Redman tobacco. Overall - The intial taste is to sweet but as it sits on your tongue and goes down its pretty damn good. Aftertaste is the best part!!!
