| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 19, 2009 I was expecting a big hit of "imperial" since it has the Avery name but this was nice and restrained. Big and bold with plenty of alcohol but easy to drink with some raisin or plum maybe in it. radioseer (65), Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2009 (22 ounce bomber) Orange apperance with a creamy head that leads to a thick lacing. Aroma is a sugary spicey appple nose. Taste is overall malty with apple notes. The palate is average carbonation with a boozey aftertaste. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 2, 2009 Bottle: 2009 Vintage: Reddish-orange color with a finger of creamy beige head. Smells sweet with a little spiciness and light florals. The taste is what really gets exciting... Sweet and floral, fruity, caramel, figs, and spices. The overall blend and balance of sweetness to hops to spice really keeps me from wanting to break it down... Like a mead kind of sweetness with a floral compliment and spiced backer. Nicely done, this will be an annual tradition. mcmd (144), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 22, 2009 2007 bomber into a snifter. Pours a deep amber with one finger off white head which settles to the rim. Smells is all malty caramel and sweat bread, cinnamon rolls maybe. Taste is similar - sweet malt, caramel, butterscotch, dough. Finish is very smooth, and alcohol well hidden which likely speaks to its age. Great beer, recommend putting it back. Floral malt aroma. Golden bronze coloured very rich on the palate and strong in alcohol with a crisp bitter and dry malt finish. BOLTZ7555 (1100), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2009 Golden tangerine pour with lots of hoppiness and iced tea, accompanied by caramel and saccharin. This is Alabama sweet tea with a kick...not a bad beer just lacks complexity and would have a hard time drinking this regularly due to its syrupy nature. Meh. thirdeye11 (553), Texas, USA
