Mar 30, 2005 25 oz bottle. Had this out of new Duvel glass I also purchased tonight. I didn’t have any Duvel to break it in with so I might as well go with another Belgian style beer.
Pours out brown (red? can’t tell in this light) yet fairly transparent. Decent whitish head. Smells really sugary and sweet. Taste is very sweet, with no alcohol detectable. Almost too much on the sweet side but I’ll put that down to it being fairly "young". Spices are good. Can’t really taste anything resembling the fruit that’s mentioned in the descriptiion but that might just be me. Good stuff all around. I might pick up another bottle or two and throw them in the cellar for a year or so

Jul 18, 2006 Dark golden color. No head. Smells like banana bread or fruit cake. I can really taste the esters and sugar. Some caramel and spice underneath. Nice warm beer.

Sep 14, 2007 22oz Bomber
A deep rish AMber color with a thin head. This Quad had some dep rich malts with a good spicey back notes. the beer was seved perfect and the lingering aroma and flavors where just awesome. Loved the overall flavors and the use of great yeasts. This was a true classic beer.

Dec 10, 2004 Heavy malt and yeast nose, with a bit of head. This has a powerful flavor; full of rich fruit, roasted malts, Belgian character and a pleasant alcohol presence. Very full bodied.

Mar 20, 2007 The 22 ounce bottle poured a sparkling clear beautiful reddish amber beverage with a modest sized off-white head that was mostly lasting and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma was fruity and spicy with notes of orange peel, coriander, pepper and wild cherry. This one is a very full-bodied beer with lively carbonation and a smooth, creamy texture. The flavor starts out with a medium sweetness that lasts through the long finish. The sweetness faithfully follows the aroma in composition and the finish has a nice alcohol warmth as a bonus.

Aug 12, 2005 Nice shiny copper/red pour, big thick creamy cap of beige head that leaves a nice sticky lace on the glass. Zesty citrus aroma, spicy, floral and clean. Quite sweet with a nice bit of tartness. Alcohol is present in the finish, but still blends in surprisingly well. Very light mouthfeel for the ABV. Just a little sticky.

Nov 11, 2005 Man, nice one to avery. Not the kick i expected, but all around, a recommend drink. Citrus flavoured sweet malts and spices and very smooth. I agree with beer matrix that it’s not worth the $6.99 they were originally charging but on sale, it’s a steal. Tasty!....Im absolutely lit. like a firecracker. thank u 10%. Tokay is good though. Hungary rules!
