Mar 26, 2008 Pours a dark ruby brown in color. Smell is all toffee and malt. Taste is incredible, I’m really loving this beer. There is a sweetness coming through that I’m thoroughly enjoying. Smooth on the mouthfeel. I’m definitely going to have to pick up another bottle of this.

Mar 23, 2008 Brown with medium beige head. Sweet roasted malt in the nose that also holds notes of caramel, chocolate and alcohol. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, caramel, spices and chocolate.

Mar 17, 2008 Poured from a 22oz bomber and served in a Bell’s dimpled mug. This beer poured a dark brown with a lasting head of tan foam. The aroma of the beer was made up of dark fruits, toffee, caramelized sugar, banana esthers, and also a bit of chocolate. The flavor started with dark fruits and bittersweet chocolate. Then some toffee and caramel finished off with a lasting alcoholic banana note. The mouthfeel was full-bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation. Quite tasty!

Mar 16, 2008 Overall a very good complex beer. It pours a dark brown with a miniscule off-white head. Aroma smells of chocolate, molasses, and dark fruit. The head quickly dissolves and there you have all of these flavors in a light, flavorful, porter-like beer. It finishes as it starts, but with a tang of bitterness. I would definitely drink it again, if I found it.

Mar 15, 2008 pours the same color dark brown as the bottle. it’s topped by a rocky tan head with some light lacing. this smells of dark raisins, yeast, spice (possibly from the abv%) and metallic maltiness. the flavor is lightly bready with notes of brown sugar, spices, dark raisins and cocoa. alcohol is welcomed in the finish. aftertaste is fruity yeast... almost banana like. medium to full bodied, low carbonation and a nice smooth mouth feel.

Mar 12, 2008 Pours a clear brownish black with a little white head.
Aroma of rasins, yeast, and spices.
Flavor is rasins, malt, yeast, fruit with a very watery mouthfeel. This is pretty good but not great.

Mar 10, 2008 Bomber I found in the back of my cellar when looking for something that also has gold foil. So I thought why not pop this seemed to be as good of a time as any. Shared with my Girlfriend Cyn, this is pretty much only the 2nd big beer of the night. Appaently I bought this at South bay for 6 bucks a ways back. Pours blackish brown witha 1 finger tan head. Looks like a dopplebock, not a weizenbock to me. Nose is sweet and chocolaty. Taste mirrors the nose, nice, choco and sweet and rich. A very nice dopplebock, not a weizenbock in any way shape or form.

Mar 4, 2008 Hazy dark brown hue, with a frothy beige head, yesty, fruity nose of banana, raisin, date, and fig, with a toasted, wheaty malt note, with some nutmeg, cloves spiced accents, within some chocolatey aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity, wheaty, caramelized, toasted malt character, with a faint molasses accent, some dark dried dates, raisins and figs , with a clove, nutmeg spiciness, a nice chocolatey liqueurish warmth mouthfeel, leading towards a malty, fruity, acidic, dry finish.
