Little alcohol flavor as this one warms up. I know that’s a big surprise from Avery(tongue in cheek). This is good and I’m not usually a big bock fan. Lots of flavors but in all honesty I’m unable to seperate them from one another. They blend together nicely. demitriustown (700), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Bomber: Aroma permeates with dark fruit, a nice spicy caramel malt overtone, toffee, licorice, a slight scent of chocolate, and a bit of alcohol. Appearance is a deep ruby color with a medium sized tan head that diminishes into a film. Taste is got a really nice malt characteristic, wheat, and on the backend the spices come through. Palate is lightly sweet on the lips, somewhat tongue coating, and aftertaste has a lingering fruity malt characteristic. Overall, an enjoyable beer to say the least. Nice aroma, looks inviting, and a nicely complex taste. Cheers! BigBeer45 (698), Troy, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | May 24, 2007 Bomber, pours a very dark ruby with off-white bubbles, lots of sweetness with dark malt aromas, aroma of a fruitcake made with raisins and prunes, fruit, roasted malt, dark bread, some chocolate fragrance, a touch of alcohol on the nose, syrupy sweet and a sticky feel in the mouth, taste of dark malt, some brown sugar, has some dark bread and wheat flavors but disappointing, the flavor does not follow the aromas, there is a dry finish but it starts out thick and creamy and kind of oily syrupy on the palate, can sense the alcohol in the sip, as this warms the alcohol monster takes over, unfortunately, the flavor did not live up to the aroma, this ‘13’ is very unlucky. oberabcbbsok (686), Hoboken, Belgium

Tasted in a hotel bathroom glass. I have had the Eleven and Twelve, lucky Thirteen? Colour is deep brown slightly reddish with a thin wispy brown / tobacco coloured head. Aroma is sweet, with hints of fruit, berries and burnt sugar. Flavour is on the really sweet side, with a slight metallic finish and minimal bitterness. BigBastard (668), L.A., California, USA

Tasted like that too, but had a slight metalic aftertaste. Odd style, but it was very good. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
