Light aroma is sweet-fruity, yeasty with a touch of malt. Mmm. Thick mouth feel. The fruit flavor from the yeast seems to be the dominant flavor component by just a little bit. Next comes the hefe weissen wheat flavor, coffee and a healthy dose of rich dark chocolate malt. This is a nice drinkable beer. It leaves a dry taste behind along with a lingering and delicious chocolate flavor as well as a warm alcohol sensation. fonefan (11800), VestJylland, Denmark

Unclear medium brown color with a average forthy / fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, molasses / bread, roadsted, toffee, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration. Very nice balance ! Body is full, texture is oily, syrupy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. So I thought why not pop this seemed to be as good of a time as any. Shared with my Girlfriend Cyn, this is pretty much only the 2nd big beer of the night. Appaently I bought this at South bay for 6 bucks a ways back. Pours blackish brown witha 1 finger tan head. Looks like a dopplebock, not a weizenbock to me. Nose is sweet and chocolaty. Taste mirrors the nose, nice, choco and sweet and rich. A very nice dopplebock, not a weizenbock in any way shape or form. badlizard (2358), Berkeley, California, USA

God duft af bær og en smule hvede. Smagen er domineret af balanceret alkohol på den gode måde. Bitter finish. Oloroso karakter med en tør eftersmag. Virkelig godt lagret. Super øl. Palate is silky and gorgeous, not too thick not too thin. Very drinkable. Smell is smoky and chalky. Flavors are rich, malty, raisin, prune with some lingering delicate malt sweetness. Very nice! Milky aroma with a hint of banana and lightly smoked, but also butterscotch and a hint of varnish. Dark brown color, beige head, fair lace. Light sweet, caramallized banana, licorice and chocolate. Soft and milky mouthfeel. Very nice, could use some complexity though.
