| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 13, 2008 Sampled at Stevofest 08, courtesy of Suttree. Pours deep brown with a tan head. Aroma of banana esters and dark wheat. Medium to full bodied. Flavor of dark wheat malt, raisen, banana bread, and a hint of tobacco. Lacks some balancing residual sweetness (quite a surprise from Avery). Some alcohol detected on the finish. Not a bad weizenbock, but not as good as Scheider Aventinus. ogglethorp (888), Ohio, USA
