Commercial Description:
Another year and our best yet. Twelve glorious years total! Thanks guys and gals! As you've probably noticed, along the way we've developed quite a fetish/addiction for Belgian-style brews. Here's another style we've been craving to concoct - an intricate Saison, full of zesty citrus and spicy notes paired with a subtle herbaceous essence. Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, imported Belgian malted wheat, sweet orange peel, lemon peel, grains of paradise, chamomile, lavender, hops, and Belgian yeast.

Somewhat floral aroma, with a hint of citrus. Citrus notes with touches of lemon and wheat throughout. A litlle different than what I was expecting, but a nice spin on the style.

bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours light gold, thinnish head. Aroma of beef, pine trees. We all agreed it had a flavor of cinnammon toast crunch, lactose. Medium mouthfeel. Surprisingly good, interesting beer.

Bottle. Golden pour. Very sweet smelling aroma. This flavor is everywhere not sure where to begin. Citrus, grain, hops and much more, ii don’t believe it fits together well. This beer was alright but not sure it has aged well.

Thanks be to the Cheeseman. Fragrant nose with a ton of spice, mostly ginger and cinnamon. Flavor is a little lighter, with more spices. Doesn’t really show the age, but may be the spices hiding things. Still pretty good.

Cloudy golden ale with a decent head. Smell that beer spice aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger. Easy to drink.

Slightly cloudy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of grass and sage up front - very strong and overpowering, with some malt, hops and sugars that accentuate the aroma if you keep your nose in it while trying to mask out the herbs. Medium-bodied; Sharp pungent herbiness with oregano, sage and thyme thrown in the mix. A subtle coriander seed taste is in there with some malt and a bit of hops - but nothing else is noticeable due to the high amount of herbs. Aftertaste shows more of the same and the palate is left with herbal overtones and nothing else. Overall, this beer needs to sit for a while before drinking, and even then it still might not be good. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 09-July-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Bottle WoW has this ever improved. Pours a golden brown body with an off white head. Cinnamon, cloves, grams, v nicely spiced with a honeyard note in the finish. Reminds me of SH Cuvee but better. Awesome beer.
