JFGrind (1346), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 31, 2009 Citrus aroma and flavors combined with coriander and orange peel. Light bodied Wit with thin head and abnormal sized bubbles. Overall crisp, some yeast mustiness obviously an alternate to Hoegarden. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jan 30, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Wow. Finally a wheat ale worth drinking! Some funk on the nose, but plenty of awesome wheat as well. Flavor is incredibly smooth yet flavorful. Lots of wheaty, lemony notes, especially in the burps that follow. One of the best of this style I’ve had. Way to go Avery. nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Jan 27, 2009 A worthy Belgian white that the whole family can enjoy. Pours a slightly cloudy light golden color with small white head. Aroma dominated by yeast. Flavor is yeast, orange, coriander, and mild hops. Satisfying and very drinkable. Paired this with lobster on Christmas Eve, which was AWESOME. DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel Jan 24, 2009 (11/4/08) Draught at some place called "Sneak Joint" in Mission Beach, San Diego, that is standing where Liar’s Club used to be. Cloudy yellow with a big white head. Aroma of wheat, orange peels and some coriander - textbook Wit aroma. Sweet wheaty flavor with citrus, some other fruits notes and coriander. Medium-bodied. Quite enjoyable. crajun (89), , Texas, USA Jan 23, 2009 Updated: Feb 27, 2009Straw color with med. head
Smell: orange?
Taste: a little citrus, but main taste was the quick hop and carbonation combo
Definitely a summer beer - it got up to 78 today! It was refreshing but nothing extraordinary
Had a second one - didn’t even finish it; too watery and didn’t see the need to drink something with little flavor JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Jan 23, 2009 On tap at Pizza Port. Pours a hazy yellow. Lemon zest, banana, spice, and wheat. It’s pretty standard. It would be a nice summer beer. troopie (848), USA Jan 13, 2009 Bottle. Poured cloudy lemon yellow with a thick white head. Spicy, citrusy and yeasty aroma. Mild flavour, citrus, spice and some breadiness. Thin finish, more spice. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Jan 12, 2009 Hazy gold with a small white head. Bananas and orange zest in the nose. Soft wheat flavor with hints of spice. Not bad.
