The nose is very floral and has a nice citrus smell, with a bready finish. The initial taste very fruity and full of citrus and sweet bitter finish. Overall it is a refreshing beer with a good amount of carbonation theisti (1650), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2008 12 oz. bottle purchased as a single at Happy Hour in Independence, Missouri. Pour is a hazy yellow white with a two inch inch white head. There is quite a bit of carbonation rising to the surface, and the head is frothy. Minimal lacing as the head falls. Aroma of soft wheatiness, floral notes, and fruit yeastiness. Some fresh earthiness in the background. Taste is the nose, for the most part. Wheat, interplayed with grassy floral notes. There is also just a touch of citric sourness that was not present in the nose. The fruit from the nose is more orange peel in the taste, and there is a spicy coriander present. Overall, this is a nice drinkable wit, with nice integration and decent complexity. drfabulous (1225), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 13, 2008 Not my favorite style. Lots of "straw" as they like to say. Very light. Works well with non beer loving friends. JCB (1744), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2008 12oz bottle from Sam’s, Durham. It’s really hard to make a wit that can keep my attention and be much more than a simple quaffer to me. Avery’s version is about as competent as many other renditions on the market; and it’s also thereby about as memorable, which is to say not very much. Cloudy gold/orange pour with a decent amount of carbonation in the medium body. The usual suspects in the nose, of course - orange peel, etc. A bit of a watery finish, unfortunately. Decent. jstraw (755), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2008 Hazy straw with fair, white head / Delicate, sour, citrus nose / Light to medium body, crisp acidity, with decent finish / Smooth lemon flavors with notes of banana and wheat. Orange and coriander pretty well masked. / Very good, if not spectacular. euserphriendly (163), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 6, 2008 A light bodied belgian white. More of a sour note than many of the whites that I’ve had in the past. Easy to drink on a hot summer day, but I wouldn’t search for it in a pub. yespr (11989), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 6, 2008 From tap at Pizza Port, Carlsbad. Pours cloudy yellow with a lacing white head. Mild spiced and wheaty aroma. Wheaty and mild spiced with coriander. Smooth finish, classic and clean wit - slight spiced. Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Bottle. Very light straw, large head. Fruity, wheat arooma with yeast notes. Highly carbonated. Wheat flavor marred by a graininess and mild astringency. Some tartness, some very light spice notes. Improved as it warmed, but it lacked the softness of better belgian witbiers. Overall not too bad.
