| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2008 12 oz. bottle pours a cloudy light lemon yellow color with tight white head that leaves a delicate lacing when it dissipates, which it does rather quickly. Aroma is a yeasty citrus bouquet. Coriander is evident but not overpowering. Front palate is crisp with a bitter orange peel, middle is malty and finish has a buttery popcorn taste. Low hops taste. Easy to drink and nice in hot weather. Medium to light body makes it too easy to drink quickly, but it’s a tasty one. This would be a nice accompaniment to a spinach salad with bleu cheese and dried cranberries or apricots. Mutualaid (136), Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Pours clear and very pale with a thin, fizzy white head. Pleasantly pungent sour apple aromas with little to no hop bouquet. Really big, almost lambic tartness up front that fades a bit too quickly. The body needs a bit of a boost as well. Short, dry finish. While the claim is that this beer is unfiltered, its clarity and relative lack of body indicates something untoward is happening to the brew. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 6, 2008 bottle. Very disappointing appearance- pours a pale yellow with little to no head... fizzy half inch bubbles up then clears super fast. Weak aromas of oranges, spices, and some yeasty twang. Flavors continue the disappointing trend... weak notes of spices and coriander, some sharp belgian yeast, and a middling grainy maltiness. Palate is average, though with the weak flavor the palate never really comes into play. Watery and thin. Overall pretty disappointing. fredandboboflo (1404), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. Super pale in color. Aroma had occasional hints of yeasty goodness, some light spices, but esters were weak (some lemon), and in general the aroma was nothing special. Flavor improved the spice aspect of the brew and added a nice sweetness to the lemon characteristic. Refreshing, but still oddly thin in the mouth. A bit odd, but decent. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours a surprisingly light yellow, cloudy, with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of spices (coriander, clove). Flavor initially of the same spices with a sweet, fruity finish. Slightly weaker palate than other witbiers, but this holds up pretty well. Not sure of the age of this bottle, as it had a lot of yeast caked at the bottom of it, but it seemed to taste fine, maybe just a tad stale. I wasn’t expecting much from this, so it held up well. A decent wit. beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 5, 2008 For all my carping about the Fifteen, I actually enjoyed this well. I tasted this before the "4K on the 4th" race. I don’t seek out Belgian whites and heffeweizens, but I do enjoy them on a hot day. This poured cloudy, yellow, and thin, with a thin head. It had a thin, oily mouthfeel. Tastes of bread, yeast, coriander, and citrus. It was good. HonkeyBra (1319), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Looks like a very pale yellow, aroma is citrusy and yeasty. Yeah, its alright, decent wit, but pretty in the grand scheme of beer. I really don’t have anything good or bad to say about it. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Had at Molly’s for the Spain-Russia game, 2nd half after I lost my cable ... Looks like Pineapple juice... is decent stuff but needs more complexity ... medium spritz ... light-medium mouthfeel .. mild refreshing flavour.. it took me 4 years to try this, but probably never again, that being said, the lowest of the avery lineup...
