beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA Jul 5, 2008 For all my carping about the Fifteen, I actually enjoyed this well. I tasted this before the "4K on the 4th" race. I don’t seek out Belgian whites and heffeweizens, but I do enjoy them on a hot day. This poured cloudy, yellow, and thin, with a thin head. It had a thin, oily mouthfeel. Tastes of bread, yeast, coriander, and citrus. It was good. HonkeyBra (1266), Lemont, Illinois, USA Jul 5, 2008 Looks like a very pale yellow, aroma is citrusy and yeasty. Yeah, its alright, decent wit, but pretty in the grand scheme of beer. I really don’t have anything good or bad to say about it. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Jun 30, 2008 Had at Molly’s for the Spain-Russia game, 2nd half after I lost my cable ... Looks like Pineapple juice... is decent stuff but needs more complexity ... medium spritz ... light-medium mouthfeel .. mild refreshing flavour.. it took me 4 years to try this, but probably never again, that being said, the lowest of the avery lineup... sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 29, 2008 On tap. hazy golden pour with a thin head. Aroma is of wheat, lightly hoppy with a little hint of citrus/orange. Mouthfeel is a little thick.
A good wheat beer, tasty but nothing particular. mybrainhurts (212), North Dakota, USA Jun 28, 2008 Hazy, yellow pour. Aroma of citrus, yeast, and spices. Mouthfeel is flattened and watery. Flavors of yeast and a citrus blend. Not bad, but could use more depth. I guess though, faced with summertime heat this would satisfy. goldbrew (99), USA Jun 27, 2008 The first whiff and sip were the best. Nice spicy hint on finish with the requisite head and clove, curacao orange flavor of a witbier. Also a pleasant shallow smoothness to the first drink. That quality, however, took away from the experience for the rest of the remaining beer. It stayed rather shallow and the flavors mixed in a less harmonious way. It felt too diluted and muted somehow. Not an offensive taste at all. Worth having on a hot day in place of a megabrew for sure. improvjock (92), Namegata-shi, Ibaraki-ken, Japan Jun 24, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of coriander and citrus. I first tasted this at a beer tasting at the Phinney Market, and it was my favorite of the bunch, so I bought a six pack. Nice orange in the taste and some great spices. This beer was kinda expensive but worth it, I would say. moelikebeer (219), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 24, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy white pour with little head. Aroma of coriander and belgian yeast. Same in flavor as well as orange peel. Nice carbonation. Very nice domestic attempt at the style!
