oreogobbler (217), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 6, 2008 Pours a translucent yellow thin white head. Sharp spoiled fruit aroma like rotting lemons. Bread like flavor some lemon and wit yeast. Palate is unpleasant and unbalanced. It’s very rough and not easy to swallow. And to think that before I started to rate I loved this beer. How thing (the palate) changes. Boutip (2334), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Mar 6, 2008 Bottle: Poured a light hazy white/yellow color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of coriander and orange peel is dominating with light wheat notes. Taste is a mix between some orange peel, coriander and some wheat malt with some notes of fruity ester. Light body with OK carbonation. Not bad but not there with the best from the style. garretjax (103), Colorado, USA Mar 6, 2008 Cloudy pale golden yellow color with a big white head. Yeast/bready aroma laced slightly with some citrus undertones. Light body and good carbonation. Malt flavor and orange/lemon zest at the back of the tongue. Somewhat shortened finish. SoBloHero (56), Buffalo, New York, USA Mar 5, 2008 A tad bit disappointing. This beer is a decent white ale, but it lacks a deep flavor. The aroma is very pleasant, a definate orange smell. Not bad, but I expected more on this one. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA Mar 2, 2008 Color is a pale, somewhat cloudy yellow, typical of a wheat beer but still promising. Aroma is strong and wheaty with a hint of citrus. Flavor is full and satisfying, wheaty and malty, no bitterness and just a hint of sweetness. Any fan of wheat beers should enjoy this one. gsmitty80 (628), Washington DC, USA Feb 26, 2008 Amazing aroma of spice and orange. Tastes very much the same but neither are overpowering. I added some lemon after a few just to offset the corrainder but it was very good without it as well KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Feb 24, 2008 It’s been a while since I’ve had a witbier. I forgot how good they can be, just one of them. A ton of orange flavor, and suprisingly spiced. There was also some yeasty dough flavor, but there wasn’t a ton other than that. Very much a summer beer. rustychiles (1007), Mesa, Arizona, USA Feb 22, 2008 12oz bottle from Old Chicago.
Pours a slightly cloudy yello with a creamy white head. Aroma of wheat, malt, citrus, spices. Taste of wheat, spices and orange peel. Would really hit the spot on a hot summer day.
