travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Feb 20, 2008 Yellow and cloudy with a nice head. Nice light citrusy flavors present. Good all around with a pleasurable taste and aroma. Nice light beer to be a good thirst quencher.
SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Feb 17, 2008 Updated: Jun 11, 2008Pours a light hazy pale gold color with a creamy white head. Aroma is standard witbier, some wheat, spice and citrus peel. Very light bodied and tasty. Nice. illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Feb 17, 2008 Draft at Flying Saucer Nashville. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a white head, typical wit appearance. Aroma of wheat malt and orange peel. A hair above light bodied, but with some watery texture. Flavor of light wheat malt, orange peel, and coriander with an average amount of residual sweetness. Finish is clean and slightly yeasty. Not bad, but needs a little more malt backbone. A bit too thin for me dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA Feb 12, 2008 Pours cloudy yellowish with a thick white head. Coriander and orange peel very prominent in the aroma. Very refreshing taste, none of the spices are overwhelming, but work very nicely together. Light body, finishes very dry and crisp. This is a great summer time beer in Florida. GaltScat (195), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Feb 3, 2008 The sediments on the bottom got me all excited. Pours a cloudy gold with a tall white head. Nose is fruity (melon and lemon) and yeasty with lots of wheat and light spice. There is some very light cardamom, coriander, and clove. Taste is wheat, grains, light spice (coriander and cardamom), and a bit of citrus. There’s an obvious Belgian yeast flavor throughout this. Body is light and refreshing. A thirst quencher even in January. Finishes with more grains, light spices, light lemon, and yeast. A really nice witbier, nonetheless. puggy211 (576), cordova, Tennessee, USA Feb 2, 2008 pours cloudyplae yellow, nice spicy aroma of orange and coriander, nice slick feel to beer, crisp wheat notes, nice wit. jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Feb 1, 2008 Updated: Jul 31, 2009Hell yes, someone did a White Ale Right! On tap at the Flying Saucer, Houston, Texas. I am very fond of witbiers. This thing stank to high heaven of yeast and wheat. A smell I refer to as "monk basement". Awesome. Almost clear it was so light yellow. Big poofy head. Taste is an explosion of wheat with a nice hop bite, but the palate finishes oh-so-clean. Thank you, Avery. Thank you. Bungalo22 (326), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Jan 31, 2008 From bottle into a tumbler. Pours a cloudy yellow like a white should. Smells citrusey with some spice. Taste has a bit of a bite and is light bodied. Smooth beer but light on the alcohol and follow though. Taste disappears quickly.
