jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Nov 18, 2007 Ron put together an extremely nice tasting and this was the opener. Slightly hazy, very pale, thick white head. Sour and bananas in the nose, similar palate but a little grainy. More like a hefe than a wit to me as I didn’t detect the oranges and coriander. They are subtle if they are there. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 17, 2007 Had this beer at the All Colorado Beer Fest on 11/10/2007. Aroma is soo faint its almost not there. Color is near white with a nice thick tight head. Taste is a bit weak but does have some White characteristics. In the end its just a weak White. Ron (1002), Rochester, New York, USA Nov 16, 2007 Poured a hazy yellow with an average size foamy white head. Aroma is wheat, grass, coriander and some citrus fruits. Flavor is smooth and refreshing. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Nov 11, 2007 Pours an extremely light yellow-white color with a thin white head that disappears pretty quickly. General sweet malty aroma with orange peel most apparent. Taste is mildly sweet with a slightly chalky mouthfeel and a very light citrus finish. Just a pretty general middle-of-the-road wit with no real outstanding characteristics. Appearance :Unappealing milky white , hazed foggy being with white floating fizz.1+
Nose :Aroma of Belgian White , coriander with wheat. Citric orange peel.
Flavour/Palate : Overly carbonated, softer following . Grainy wheat character with citric tart finish. Boring plain wheat with far too high carbonation. Poor choice.
craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Nov 6, 2007 4 oz. sampling from a bottle. a very nice belgian white style beer. the curacao and coriander definitely make themselves known on the palate and throughout the finish. White beers are not in my favorite styles, but this one is very refreshing and a pleasure to drink. snargles (23), wouldntyouliketoknow, Maine, USA Nov 6, 2007 an easy going belgian style, the orange is noticable, similar to some white ales.this one’s for smooth drinkin’,not a sensation CheersMate1 (770), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 5, 2007 Nice strong aroma of banana and clove. The clove is very strong, and smells quite nice. The beer has a nice lemon yellow to it. This looks like a great witbier. Agree with other drinkers, this beer is watered down. Too thin to be a witbier. The clove is present in the taste as well, and the banana is very weak. I wish they would have continued the great aroma into the flavor. This beer is just too watered down to enjoy properly.
