Avery White Rascal

A 12 oz bottle with no freshness or made on date. The beer poured a milky yellow with a med white head. The smell is floral and spices. The taste is a little bitter with the herbs shining through. Good lacing with weak carbonation.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear light blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a fine film. Aroma of Belgian yeast funk, some light multi-grian malt and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is light bodied, well carbonated with a spicey wheat and yeasty beverage flavor. Finish is slightly spicey with a grassy/wheat aftertaste.

A fine interpretation of a Belgium white. The coriander and spices are all in tact and the nose is aromatic. Great head retention. Personally, I think a Belgium white should have a thick mouthfeel/body,and this beer does the trick. Good summer brew for hot Houston summers. Well done thirst quencher.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Bottle. Pale yellow, small white head. Wheat aroma, fruity, quite bland. Malty, spicy wheat flavor, grassy and quite boring.

Good Beer. If not for the poor ratings in this catagory, this would fair better. Pours a hazy gold with respectable white head. Wheat malt present in the aroma as is citris and some orange. Great balance with the initial sweetness offset by a somewhat bitter and malty finish. I’m starting to like this brewery!

Hazy pale yellow color, cloudy white head. Bubblegum and coriander in the nose. Sweetish, wheaty, evident coriander notes. Sweeter than "real" Belgian witbiers.

This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again.

Pretty nice light bouquet aroma, very pale color. A nice crisp flavor with a little orange but isn’t overly fruity or wheaty. Mostly pretty nice.
