surfmurf (77), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 18, 2007 Updated: Dec 26, 2008Actually my aroma ranking is weak because it was almost non existent. However this beer more than made up for it the rest of the way. A surprise for an unfiltered beer this was very smooth and the word that would best describe it was creamy. I kept looking to see if it was really beer. It was smooth had a great taste that stayed good in your mouth after swallowing. This also tasted like it would be a great beer in the summer as a thirst quencher without being filling. Overall I am in PA and I do not think too many beers travel well but this was worth the try. I WILL be drinking this again! RollinHard (750), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Jul 14, 2007 Pours a cloudy straw color with a moderate white head. Aroma is rather funky with some grass, cloves, a light meatiness, stale bread, maybe the lightest rotten fruit (but just enough). Taste is pretty much what you’d expect. Bready grassy flavor, a clove/yeast spice, some light lemon, finishes lightly earthy slightly dry, but very gentle. Creamy texture and light-bodied, but not lacking for the style. High-carbonated, but not offensive. The yeast qualities in this beer make it pretty significant and I’d say it’s Avery’s best attempt at brewing a Belgian style. Still, it’s just an adequate wheat beer at heart. dmac (1420), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Jul 11, 2007 Updated: Jul 17, 200712 oz bottle. Poured a hazy yellow with an average size foamy white head. Aroma is wheat, grass, coriander and some citrus fruits. Flavor is smooth and refreshing and this was a nice choice for a day baking in the sun at the golf outing. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 10, 2007 yea i love the floaters in the bottle otherwise this just a little too bland for me. hopson (591), Williamsville, New York, USA Jul 9, 2007 tape- clear bright (almost neon) yellow in appearence. white head, nice carbonation. pretty thin, correander and oranges dominate, while aroma leaves something to be desired. Okay, but not especially good considering the brewery. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 7, 2007 Great choice this very hot day. Poured nice and white/golden with a lightly yeasty aroma. Yeast is forefront with a cooling coriander fruitiness I immediately picked up on. Nothing revolutionary here by any means, been there done that, but still a very solid beer that made for a great quencher. WolfsBlood84 (103), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Jul 7, 2007 Bottled - Light, cloudy, orangey Wit Ale. Thin white head, spicy citusy taste - refreshing summer time beer. scottmc (167), Lakewood, Colorado, USA Jul 6, 2007 This is lighter wheat ale that you can taste and get used to pretty quick. It is very cloudy and it stings your tounge, almost a numbing feeling like a real wheat ale should.
