jmcguire1969 (149), Lafayette, Colorado, USA Jul 3, 2007 I’m going on a wit tasting spree and this is my first so not sure how this measures up. This tastes nice and light with a citrus flavor. The yeast gives off a light Belgian ester flavor. Good summer brew. Touche (57), New York, USA Jul 2, 2007 Poured a opaque yellow with lots of bubbles and about a one inch head. smells great, citrus and wheat! Too much carbonation! Overall taste was very thin and dissapointing. Most of the taste was barely there and the bubbles were annoying, similar to a soda. Dry aftertaste. Overall lacking and not worth the 10 usd i paid for a 6. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 2, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2008White, yellowish cloudy beer. Aroma felt somewhat absent to me. Very spicy tastes, mostly lemon and carbonation. Not bad. crazyvin (1246), New York, USA Jun 29, 2007 Hazy yellow color, thin white head. It looked somewhat watery and flat. Aroma was biscuits and lemon with some spice. Flavor was yeasty with a lemon presence, It did lack the spice quality the aroma had. Decent, and refreshing. rick10485 (53), oneonta, New York, USA Jun 28, 2007 Crisp wheaty, citrus flavor. Nice hoppy aroma. poured with little head. PAired nice with aged cheddar. Not bad for an american micro tryin to do belgian style Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA Jun 27, 2007 Growler courtesy of me. I have profound respect for those who are serious raters of witbier. It’s like scratching at a rock with the hardness of 10. Not easy. This was a good wit though. Summer wouldn’t exist without this style of brew. thats why I say: "Bibble." ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA Jun 26, 2007 Enjoyed this offering in my "MIGHTY HAMM’S GOBLET". Subtle nose of smoke & pepper, sawdust & spice. Pours a sparkling cloudy blonde. The mostly diminishing white frothy head is ample with light lace. Balanced on the tart side, this brew has a high acidity, and a quick fresh finish. The light palate is dry and fizzy. HopHeadinAZ (120), USA Jun 21, 2007 Bottle: Pours a hazy straw. Thin bubbly white head disappears quickly with little to no lacing. Spicy nose probably dominated by coriander. The spice continues on the tongue with a slightly sour after taste. The palate is somewhat lighter than I would expect. I enjoyed this more on tap at the Avery tasting room. I wouldn’t turn one down but I wouldn’t search it out.
