Commercial Description:
A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that's yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

Bottle. Hmmm, this seems to be divisive. Sweet lemon and orange aroma with half its potency derived from coriander. Hazy lemon-yellow body with a short white head. Taste is rather spicy! Ctirus, coriander, lots of orange peel, heavy yeast, and bready biscuity wheat malt in a medium-high dose. Medium-full body, very dry...tart with occasional/lesser sweet and bitter notes. Dry white (perhaps witty?) aftertaste. Extremely refreshing, probably the most exciting wit I’ve had in the States.

Very weak Belgian-style ale...maybe I’m spoiled by all the more flavorful and powerful varieties available now. This would be a Belgian for beginners (really more of a wheat though).

Enjoyed this several times with dinner on the patio at Midnight Blue in Orlando, FL. Just like a lighter, crisper version of Hoegaarden....which are welcome improvements in my opinion. Plenty of coriander and orange peel, but the coriander does not overpower like it does in Hoegaarden. Excellent on a hot summer day. Just think Hoegaarden Light.

Very estery belgian style wit, big coriander and orange peel perfuminess. I really enjoy this style, good for a warm day quencher. Spicy and refreshing. This one lacked a bit of carbonation though, made it feel to thick, probably the lack of bottle conditioning hurts a bit since the carbonation is that of typical bottled beers instead of the higher carbonated belgians. The lack of strong carbonation left this beer heavy on the palate and slightly muted in the flavors.

Hazy bright yellow with fuffy white head. Very faint spice and orange aroma. Bright palate and tastes of bread, cloves, and banana.

355ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki , American Week 2007). They’ve done somthing horribly wrong. This is an attempt to ruin wheat beer. Do not let someone unfamiliar with wit drink this, as it will not just put them off and also tell them nothing about the style. Unpleasant sticky slop.

12 oz brown bottle. The pour is extremely unfiltered cloudy, so cloudy you can’t see the particles floating around in there. There is sludge on the bottom of the bottle. Very nice spiced wheat aroma. Good initial wheat taste, more like a hefeweizen than a wit beer. More in-depth spicy flavors. Good clean tingly carbonation. A little stronger tham wit bier. No obtuse bitterness on the back of the throat, no hoppyness. Thin lacing. Pretty good wheat beer but not worth the $3.50 I spent for it at the Beer Store. Decent entry in the wheat beer arena. Finish is odd top of the palate attack that lasts for a few moments after the last swig. Overall, not as good as a real wit but better than a few american hefeweizens. Definitely not as mannered as a real Belgian wit. Better than sammy addams white but can’t hold a candle east end wit or hogaarden.

Not quite Hoegaarden, but about the closest thing I’ve found lately. It sure looks the part, though: cloudy and very pale with a decent white head that sticks around for a while. Lots of citrus both in the nose and the flavor. Goes down pretty easy with a pleasant aftertaste. Goes great with pizza.
