Avery White Rascal

Pours a hazy yellow with a cloudy white head. Nose reminiscent of a hefeweizen, chemical/cloves/navel oranges. Solid mouthfeel, feels very full and refreshing. Flavor of natural squeezed orange juice (not from concentrate) and wheatgrass. This is a well-made beer, but is not a style that I care for. I can’t put my own bias aside enough to enjoy this.

Bottle. Average wheat aroma and flavor. Nothing too interesting here. .......

wasnt too impressed here. wheaty aroma, yellowish color, flavor was the problem here, more water than anything.

Wheat aroma on this cloudy yellow pour. Ample foamy white head. Light watery flavor with hints of wheat flavor.

This is a pretty passable, but drinkable white. It’s best quality is it’s unremarkableness. It’s a pretty bland Belgian Wit, some hints of grassy wheat. Pours with a pretty bland flat white head. Slightly sweet, but nothing exciting. (Bottle Pour 4/1/2007)

12-oz. Cloudy dark straw body with a thin white film of head that settles to the most minimal of lacing. Slight funk and plenty of sugar in the nose; there’s some definite yeasty tang in the attack and all the way through to the finish but it’s not sour or sharp. Tingly carb. Borderline sweet and fizzy but it stays just on the drinkable side. Not one to inspire a lot of high-volume consumption, but it’s a solid little beer that’s somewhere in the zip code of the style. Quaffable.

Pours a hazy lighter golden color with a white head. Aroma is of lemon, citrus, spices, and wheat. Flavor is mostly of citrus and coriander with some lemon and wheat in the background. I’ve had better witbiers, but this one is okay.
