Commercial Description:
A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that's yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

Dulled lemon pour with a bright white head the pretty much sticks around. Honey wheat, grassy hops, fresh bread, earthy yeast and sweet orange peel make up the fantastic nose. Softly carbed and full bodied is a good combo for the style. The coriander and wheat are in balance with the fruity esthers kicked up by the yeast, but unfortunately the body thins out into a watery finish. A bit more meat would be welcome. Good stuff anyways.

Bottle. Pale, pale straw. This beer is almost white. A slow careful pour leaves a modes white head and a clear beer. Wheat and yeast dominate the aroma, with the wheat smelling a bit raw. Light and spicy, with wheat dominating the flavor as well. This beer tastes about like it smells.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a hazy straw color with floating sediment and a small alabaster head that reduces to a fair ring around the edges. Light malts, sharp yeast, coriander and citrus. Thin bodied and smooth with playful carbonation. Ending is watery with some malt flavor.

This beer has no color. The flavor was very weak, almost none. I would drink Bud Light before I would try this again. A total dissappointment from Avery.

12 oz. Bottle poured. I picked the beer up on a whim to try to new things. After reading the reviews I was excited to try it, but ultimately disappointed. Not to say its a bad beer, but its nothing special by any means. The appearance is that of pineapple juice; yellowish in color, cloudy, little if any particles. The head was foamy, lasting, quick to return with any disturbance to the beer. Cloves are the dominant scent along with oranges and white wine. Every scent is very light, including slight cookie and doughy notes. If I could describe this beer in a word, it would be "Light." There is virtually no finish and little taste. On a hot summer day I wouldn’t mind this beer sitting on the porch, but I would still take a Corona out on the boat.

It poured a hazy lemon yellow with a small head that diminished quickly but left nice lacing. The aroma is light and spicy, with the coriander very apparent. I thought the odor was more lemony than orange. The orange was more obvious in the flavor than I expected from the aroma, with the coriander still very noticeable, along with a hint of pepper and clove. It’s a little hoppier than many witbiers, but since I like a hoppy beer, this suited me just fine! White Rascal is definitely a very drinkable beer, and one that I’ll be putting in my "beer rotation."

The 12 ounce bottle poured a hazy pale yellow (pineapple colored) beverage with a frothy white average sized head that was mostly diminishing and left good lacing on the glass. It had an interesting aroma with notes of coriander and orange that were quite prevalent. It was dry, tart and lightly sweet all at the same time. The body was medium-light with average carbonation and a refreshing watery texture. The flavor starts off sweet and spicy ant then quickly adds a tart aspect as the sweetness gives way to a light bitterness. The finish is medium long.
