beerfest5 (128), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA Jul 21, 2009 Pleasantly surprised, nice aroma and color. smells of spices and flowers. taste is really nice, almost like an allagash but a little crisper, not smooth. i liked this one, ill remember it. drseusszb200 (183), Florida, USA Jul 19, 2009 pours alot clearer than expected. poured gold with a small white head. smelled like all whites, wheaty, fruity and spicy. tasted about the same with no real aftertaste hallinghansen (263), Odense SV, Denmark Jul 13, 2009 Bottle. Hazy light yellow body, with a small white head. Aroma is wheat, sweet fruit, oranges and spices. Flavor is wheat, fruit, spices and coriander. beerandIT (177), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 8, 2009 Pours almost a clear golden color with a small amount of head leaving the scene quickly with a tiny amount staying around for a bit. Very light bodied beer. On the nose I get a combo of wheat and malt that to me almost seems to give it an odd deli meat smell. On the palate I get wheat upfront with a subtle almost candy like bitterness towards the end. This beer is unique but for me not too much to get excited about honestly. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 6, 2009 A really nice beer overall. And it stuck out quite a bit which was nice, considering i had a bunch of belgian wits this past week. Bright hazey golden colour with a fluffy white top. Noticeable tropical fruits and spices right away on the nose. Taste was typical but still pleasent. Spicey and creamy with generous amounts of fruit. ruskiimperial (51), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 6, 2009 Pours a cloudy yellow. The smell gives off a light spicy aroma, though not very strong. The taste that it leaves on the palate is very light and forgetable, leaving that lingering feeling like you may have had a wheat beer at some point. The body is very light, most likely the lightest white ale I’ve ever had. Probably would have been a much better beer if it was heavier in body, otherwise it sticks to the style. hophead21112 (109), Louisville (LEWISville), Colorado, USA Jul 6, 2009 Cloudy yellow pour with a creamy medium size head, good retention, soapy lacing. Aroma is spicy orange, brett barnyard, no detectable flaws but unremarkable. Flavor is lemon up front leading to wheat grain sweetness and finishes a little watery. An example of the style according to the BJCP. Decent beer. noncaloric (601), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 4, 2009 Light hazy gold, small white head leaving temporary lace. Aroma has light citrus, with banana and a skunky note that’s not at all pleasant. Flavor is much better, begins strong on the orange zest, some tropical fruit notes, mango, finish has more wheat, banana, gumball. Zesty mouthfeel, very refreshing. A good wit, but with an off-ness in the nose.
