The mildly sweet orange citrus and spicy pepper really seem to take over the finish. Aroma is citrusy, yeasty and peppery. Though refreshing, the palate becomes a tad thin and watery in the finish. Pale yellow in color and quite cloudy, with a layer of yeast sludge still in the bottom of the bottle as well. Bubbly, white head is smallish on the pour, and settles to a filmy layer while leaving behind some patchy lacing on the glass. I like this wit because it’s not strong in coriander, and the orange citrus and peppery spiciness are quite an enjoyable combination. nick76 (2674), Tampa, Florida, USA

The appearance is a yellowish white color with serious cloudiness. Flavor is complex with a light citrus flavor along with the obviously present coriander. The wheat and yeast also are very obvious. The hops are low key here. The only problem with this ale is that it has a medicinal taste that seriously hurts the flavor rating. Still its a good beer with a dry finish. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 12, 2003 The pour produces a beclouded lemon yellow color with the head plentiful and the color a brilliant white as this creamy delight evanesces a satiny sheet of lace clings longingly to the sides of the glass. Sweet malt and hints of yeast at the front, coriander and fresh grated orange peel also in this splendiferous nose, start sweet and tart, top is light to moderate in its palate pleasing feel. Finish is stinging in its acidity, the hops spicy and pleasing but not overstated, very dry aftertaste and another “winner” from this most magnificent brewery. This beer is in a predicament -- wits are a summer beer, but this definitely improves when you take the ice-cold edge off of it. Though not enough to make me buy it again. Lightly sweet. An odd bitterness to the brew -- maybe like aspirin, or the white part of the orange peel or when you put your tongue directly on a little pile of nutmeg or cinnamon (though it didn't taste like those spices.) Clingy white head, mashed banana colored hazy beer with bb-sized coagulated yeast bits. Finish was just off -- bitter with whiffs of bandaid. And who thought up that label, hmm? Could it be...? puzzl (2635), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Feb 2, 2006 Very pale white pour with little head. Nice and cloudy and unfiltered. This beer is a pretty typical wit, with nice banana, orange, vanilla, wheat, and yeast notes. A little lactic on the taste, though overall pretty average for the style. Still a very nice drink from one of my favorite styles. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Tap at Barcade: Pours a cloudy yellow with a creamy white film of head. Decent wheaty nose with spicy/perfumy orange peel and a touch of coriander; standard. Has a light/pillowy feel. The flavor has papery wheat malt upfront, along with mild honey and lemon. The coriander comes through toward the finish. The flavor seems just a tad sweet, but it’s still a pretty good example of the style.
