Spice level was low or nonexistent. Still enjoyable to drink, but not great. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Pale gold color. No head. Light wheat and citrus flavor. Some spiciness as well. Fizzy and a bit thin.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2004 ery pale yellow color, yearning toward white, with a beautiful head, pure head, fresh and frothy head.
The nose is everything I’d expect from a witbier, or any decent imitation, alert, spicy, citric, a touch dry, some lemon, a show of orange, and overall, inviting and appetizing.
Taste: decent hops at first, nice wheat texture, very light in body, and extraordinarily drinkable. I could kill a ton of these in the summertime. (I can only admire that attribute now as the snow falls!) It’s lightness and smoothness is it’s perfection, a bit more lemon than orange in the flavor, very thirst-quenching and full of zing!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2004 Hazy lemon yellow small head. Aroma of wheat and spicy coriander. Clear notes of orange, balanced coriander, and a yeasty wheat finish. A very good, by the book white ale. Nice. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of yeast, Saaz hops, and citrus. Smooth palate and complex estery flavors including orange, pineapple, bananas, and spice. A very solid, underrated witbier. Especially good when the batch is very fresh.

Aroma is quite musty and funky with hints of coriander and fresh bread. Hazy yellow in color with a mostly diminishing fluffy white head. Flavor is fairly funky with lots of spices mixed in and more of that fresh bread flavor from the yeast. Finish is thin, tangy and bitter. Better than I remembered, but still not something I’d go to often.

Bread and citrus aroma. Pale yellow and cloudy. Decent enough flavor of bready malt and yeast, but little spice and kind of thin.
