Commercial Description:
A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that's yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

Bottle. Pours a surprisingly light yellow, cloudy, with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of spices (coriander, clove). Flavor initially of the same spices with a sweet, fruity finish. Slightly weaker palate than other witbiers, but this holds up pretty well. Not sure of the age of this bottle, as it had a lot of yeast caked at the bottom of it, but it seemed to taste fine, maybe just a tad stale. I wasn’t expecting much from this, so it held up well. A decent wit.

(11/4/08) Draught at some place called "Sneak Joint" in Mission Beach, San Diego, that is standing where Liar’s Club used to be. Cloudy yellow with a big white head. Aroma of wheat, orange peels and some coriander - textbook Wit aroma. Sweet wheaty flavor with citrus, some other fruits notes and coriander. Medium-bodied. Quite enjoyable.

Pours an extremely light yellow-white color with a thin white head that disappears pretty quickly. General sweet malty aroma with orange peel most apparent. Taste is mildly sweet with a slightly chalky mouthfeel and a very light citrus finish. Just a pretty general middle-of-the-road wit with no real outstanding characteristics.

Pours a classic cloudy pale yellow with a thick white head. Aroma has some spiciness and lemon. The taste has more of the same along with notes of clove, yeast, banana, orange peel and a great hop presence. Perfect level of sweetness. Mouthfeel is very full, round and creamy. Good head retention. Witbiers aren’t my favorite style but I really enjoyed this brew.

Pours hazy peach straw colored with a thin fizzy head. Citrus, sour cream, wheaty, coriander and cloves aroma. Surprisingly yeasty flavor, citrus, some sour cream, and not a ton of spices like the aroma would suggest. Excellent drinkability, the yeast & orange peel together really adds that balancing character. Crisp soda like carbonation with a medium body. Good stuff, its hard to come across a proper wheat.

Hazy yellow color with a wispy white head. Aroma is sweet and wheaty with some spice and banana. Flavor is sweet, more spice, orange peal, mild bitterness and wheat. Nice body and fairly drinkable. Some nice mild citrus too.

White/Gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma is wheaty and almost waxy with some citrus. The flavor is standard belgian white with nothing too exceptional. Easy to drink.

12 oz bottle. Poured a hazy yellow with an average size foamy white head. Aroma is wheat, grass, coriander and some citrus fruits. Flavor is smooth and refreshing and this was a nice choice for a day baking in the sun at the golf outing.
