Commercial Description:
A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that's yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

Bottle. Murkiish pale yellow with a white head. Nice corinader and yeast aromas. Corinader and orange flavors with a good malt sweetness. There’s a strange mustiness mid-palate but it’s bright going in and it finishes clean.

I just can’t tell with this beer. You have to be in the right mood for a wheat beer like this. Tonight I am, last night I wasn’t and it was a chore to drink the whole glass. Very flavorful ale, worth savoring before swallowing. Certainly fruity, but you can taste the hops in there too (imported from Czech). Definitely an occasion beer, rather than one to keep stocked.

I’ve had this on several occations, but the rating is from a roving keg at the Avery 12th anniversary party. (Thanks guys! I was pretty stinking hot.) Pour is cloudy as can be, the color of natural suede leather, with a big billowy white head that settles in rocky cloud-like lumps. Aroma is yeast. Some kind of champagne tartness and low level citrus, but...mainly yeast. Flavor? Also yeast. Pretty dry with a bit of wheat sparkle. Nicely tart and refreshing on the palate. A monomaniacal ode to yeast. Not very complex, but the perfect beer to prove to somebody that a witbier is actually nicer with food than champagne.

I’m going on a wit tasting spree and this is my first so not sure how this measures up. This tastes nice and light with a citrus flavor. The yeast gives off a light Belgian ester flavor. Good summer brew.

Bottle poured a cloudy white with a white head. Aromas of citrus and coriander. Flavor was orange peels and spices with a lightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Banana-wheat flavor with a splash of orange and a somewhat dry envelope but a wet mouth feel. A very drinkable wit which seems well balanced and lightly spiced. Nothing exuberant though. It has a bit of a bubblegum coat.

pours hazy yellow golden with a miniamaly white head. Aroma of wheat, belgian spices, banana, citrusy, pepper. Flavor is spicey, banana-like, moderately carbonated, an interesting mix of wheat and the belgian white style, good bosy, good brew.

A very nice Belgian White-zesty and tasty. Orange peel, wheat and coriander-like you’d expect but deftly balanced. Sweet, peppery and drinkable. Good job, Avery.
