Personally I would look forward to more spice even though I generally do go for it in beer, that Pierre Celis turned me around on this style. Very easy to drink. Clean and refreshing, but add the C&C to a higher degree and please me, please. iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 18, 2004 12 oz bottle: seems to pour crystal clear out of the bottle, but settles into a bright, though hazy lemon. Thin starched white head. Characteristic clove/cracked pepper/yeasty aroma. Though the aroma is just what you would expect a slight tang of sweet orange rind and sour malt keeps it from being boring. Nice tight carbonation, which creates a smooth mouth feel. Lemon flavours up front are balanced nicely with bitter oranges, chewy malt, sticky/sour honey, and some fennel. Not my favourite style, but satisfying and interesting no less, Cheers whaleman for the extra treat. TheBeerGod (3175), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2006 Bottle. Pours a cloudied gold with a tall white head. Nose is fruity (melon and lemon) and yeasty with lots of wheat and light spice. There’s some cardomom, coriander, and clove. Taste is wheat, grains, light spice (coriander and cardomom), and a bit of citrus. There’s an obvious Belgian yeast flavor throughout this. Body is light and refreshing. A thirst quencher even in January. Finishes with more grains, light spices, light lemon, and yeast. Some candyish notes at times during the finish. A really nice witbier, nonetheless. Nose of musky wheat, lemony citrus & ripe bananas & kiwi. Taste yeast & mild with a bite of spice & coriander. Finishes smooth. Good! tkaufman (129), Lewis Center, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2003 Poured a nice cloudy gold with a huge white head. Foam left a nice lace down the glass. Aroma was dominated by spice as was the flavor, but wheat malt taste was there as was a little hop bitterness. A very good beer. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2005 A very good wit. They got the color right; heavily carbonated with a small head, but it lacks sediment. Sour citrus and wheat in the aroma. Flavor of light spices, sweet fruit, and citrus, but not sour at all. On the light side. Sweet wheat finish with a grapefruit aftertaste. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

A nice crisp flavor with a little orange but isn’t overly fruity or wheaty. Mostly pretty nice. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
