| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 31, 2006 Draught only product found at the brewpub, and various outlets. Pours to a beautiful, bright, amber color with a tight white head that fades, and a good bit of carbonation. Nose strikes a good balance of toasty and nutty malt aroma with some herbal hop aromatics. The palate is firm with good pale, toasty, and nutty malt flavor. Body is round and smooth. Fiishes with more good malt character up front, then ends with mild herbal hop bitterness to balance. Very soid, tasty, drinkable lager. jasonp (1510), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2006 On tap at Dominion. Pours clear golden with a white head (not really amber). Nice grassy noble hop nose. Flavor is full bodied and well rounded; nice background of caramel and a touch of toffee complimented by grassy, herbal and lemon hop character. Moderately sweet, good bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Pretty enjoyable. Decently balanced. A touch on the bitter side from start to finish. Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, bitter finish. Overall, a well-hopped beer with a poor malt profile. Not much to it, really. TheBeerGod (3152), Newport News, Virginia, USA
