Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Poured dark copper with a foamy tan head from a .5L bottle. Smells of brown sugar, oatmeal, and burnt caramel. It has a smooth roasted flavor with some sweet caramel and noble hops taking a backseat. Finishes a bit on the sweet side with some lingering roastedness. A very good dunkel.

Dark amber, white frothy head, spotty lacing. Aroma has a really nice, nutty-toffee malt character, dark frutis in the background. Flavor is mellowed toffee and dark fruit, toasted cereal like character through the middle and finish. Mouthfeel is creamy smooth. Decent overall.

Clear brown body with a medium-sized off-white head. Toffee, raisin nose, with clean yeast and light roast. Flavor is lightly sweet with light, dusty chocolate, some raisins, roast and toffee. Medium body is soft with moderate carbonation.

Poured a nice copper red with a one finger frothy tan head. The aroma was sweet, a bit earthy, lager aroma fo sho, bready, basement earthy aromas. The flavor was lightly sweet, bready, malt dominant, very light hop presence, some raisin (?), basement feel is the best way I can describe it. Nice carbonation and finishes earthy with a very very mild hop bite. Easy drinker.

Draught at their tap. Clear dark brown colour. Nice, big, lacy, stable, rocky tan head. Good roasted flavour, slightly malty.

Molasses and heavily roasted malt aroma, which approaches that of dog food. Very clear brown, with a thick light tan head. Very malty and kibbly flavor. Probably good with stew, but just a bit too similar to Alpo.

Pretty decent overall, standard fare as far as Dunkels go. Smells and tastes really fresh, some dark fruits and spice follow through with a slight bit of banana, and some creamy nutty flavors. Not bad.
