Jun 9, 2008 Roasty,slight chocolate aroma, a gorgeous dark hue, taste was a smooth almost foanmy, dark roast flavor,edged toward sweetness then dried out, flavors were inticingly subdued, which I suppose this style should be. A great session brew

May 22, 2008 (GREMANY) Courtesy of AFI96, thanks Waylo !!! Dark auburn color with a thin tan head. This dunkel has a roasted malt / oatmeal aroma and a slight rum / caramel taste. The finish is sweet but kinda dry. So if you see this one give it a try !!!!

May 21, 2008 Updated: Sep 6, 2009Poured dark copper with a foamy tan head from a .5L bottle. Smells of brown sugar, oatmeal, and burnt caramel. It has a smooth roasted flavor with some sweet caramel and noble hops taking a backseat. Finishes a bit on the sweet side with some lingering roastedness. A very good dunkel.

May 20, 2008 Dark amber, white frothy head, spotty lacing. Aroma has a really nice, nutty-toffee malt character, dark frutis in the background. Flavor is mellowed toffee and dark fruit, toasted cereal like character through the middle and finish. Mouthfeel is creamy smooth. Decent overall.

May 17, 2008 Clear brown body with a medium-sized off-white head. Toffee, raisin nose, with clean yeast and light roast. Flavor is lightly sweet with light, dusty chocolate, some raisins, roast and toffee. Medium body is soft with moderate carbonation.

May 12, 2008 Poured a nice copper red with a one finger frothy tan head. The aroma was sweet, a bit earthy, lager aroma fo sho, bready, basement earthy aromas. The flavor was lightly sweet, bready, malt dominant, very light hop presence, some raisin (?), basement feel is the best way I can describe it. Nice carbonation and finishes earthy with a very very mild hop bite. Easy drinker.
