Pours a great dark brown with a big, creamy off white head on top. Aroma is sweet, lots of dough and light caramel. Some rye bread as well. Great mouthfeel, rather creamy. Flavour is mild, malty sweet. Rye, dough, lightly roasted and some slight caramel. A smoky and hoppy bitter finish. A very good dunkel.

Mar 4, 2008 Bottle. The best way I can describe this beer is celebrator light. Pours a dark brown color. Smells, like whole wheat dough. Taste, coffee, fruity, pleasant. Really good!!

Feb 29, 2008 Poured into an Eichhof bier mug. Clear maroon color, with an off-white head that breaches the rim of the glass. No lacing, decent retention.
Spicy and doughy notes on the nose. Sweet caky malt, with an earthy quality as well.
Flavor is toasty and sweet, with a little fruitiness. Grain, toffee, and a touch of coffee.
Smooth on the palate with good carbonation. You could drink this stuff all day.

Feb 29, 2008 pours a nice dark reddish hue with nice off white head, good lacing. Rye bread crust in the nose, also some grainy notes. Slightly sourish rye bready taste. some roasty sweetness. Middle is lacking. Finishes slightly smokey sweet. Good beer.Body is thinnish.

Feb 22, 2008 500ml bottle poured into a large lager glass. AAD pours medium brown with a small head. The aroma is malty and has caramel. The flavor is very malty, slightly fruity and soft.

Feb 20, 2008 Half liter bottle, for export. There is a nice, rich head on this brew, and a sweet, tangy aroma that is superb! Mellow roast grain flavor - toasted bread, with light hop bitterness. The malt base is pleasant and the finish is clean. Very drinkable, but the taste is not as fascinating as the aroma and appearance.

Feb 18, 2008 500ml brown bottle. Brownish red (chestnut) pour with a big bubbly, foamy tan head. Rings of lacing stick to the glass. Malty aroma with some nut, a hint of roasted malt and mocha. Flavour has some malt depth - medium roasted malt notes, some toffee-like sweetness. End has mild roast/hop bitterness. A little nutty malt aftertaste. Soft bodied with mild carbonation. Probably the best dunkel I’ve had. I will be returning to this one often.

Feb 9, 2008 Aroma is a roasted caramely scent. Color is a deep amber with a tall tight head. Taste is nutty, roasted and lightly sweet. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a nice smooth, soft feel. Finish comes in with a mild roasted malt flavor then a light sweet caramel taste and end with a nice bitterness and faint hop flavor. After taste is a dry caramel taste. This is a very tasty Dunkel, I would happily have another.
