Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

From a bottle. Nice color and viscocity. The flavor was a little flatter than the best dunkels I’ve had, but it was still malty and delicious. Overall, very good.

Well decided to try a dunkel tonight. Nice reddish brown with a thin head. Brown sugar and nutmeg aroma, sweet palate. Simple beer but quite tasty.

From bottle. Pours dark caramel color with ruby highlights. Nice fluffy mocha color head. Aroma sweet and malty. Flavors nicely mesh well together. Roasted nutty hints. Caramel, malts, bread, toffee. Nice carbonation, smooth, very drinkable. Nice long malty/roasty/sweet finish. Nice example of a dunkel

Pours dark amber with moderate head. aroma is caramel/raisin, roast/cocoa, and some bread. taste is a roasty caramel with some dark fruit and bread notes. finish is very light bitterness and is very soft with a lot of carbonation. no doubt a very good example of the style.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Wonderful malty aroma with dark rosey amber presence. Delightfully full body with tones of toffee and carmel. Served with fresh homemade pretzels and whole grain mustard - a wonderful treat.

This was a wonderful all around beer. From the minute I poured it, with its nice amber, mahogany color and beautiful reflection, to the nice full creamy head, I simply knew I’d like it. The aroma was very malty, caramelly, and bread-like. The taste was very complex with similar malt, toffee and flavors remniscent of bread-pudding. And of course the palate was nice, smooth, and creamy like all good dunkels. Great beer, definitely my favortie dunkel thus far.
