Wonderful malty aroma with dark rosey amber presence. Delightfully full body with tones of toffee and carmel. Served with fresh homemade pretzels and whole grain mustard - a wonderful treat. shalloWMeans (160), Independence, Kentucky, USA Mar 31, 2007 Updated: Aug 13, 2009This was a wonderful all around beer. From the minute I poured it, with its nice amber, mahogany color and beautiful reflection, to the nice full creamy head, I simply knew I’d like it. The aroma was very malty, caramelly, and bread-like. The taste was very complex with similar malt, toffee and flavors remniscent of bread-pudding. And of course the palate was nice, smooth, and creamy like all good dunkels. Great beer, definitely my favortie dunkel thus far. garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Mar 24, 2007 From a 500 ML bottle purchased at "Keller’s IGA" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This one pours an aromatic, dark brown brew that smells of roasted malts and has a tan, thin head. Tastewise, this is a lovely dunkel, with just the right taste for the style for me! drpimento (785), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Mar 21, 2007 Poured with a nice fine foamy head that slowly subsided to a thin cover and lace. Color is a deep, lovely, amber brown with highlights of brass. Milld chocolate malt roasty aroma. Flavor is very smooth with a hint of fruit, nice supple body. Very supple.
