The flavor was a little flatter than the best dunkels I’ve had, but it was still malty and delicious. Overall, very good. jb (1034), Rochester, New York, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 31, 2007 Updated: Aug 13, 2009This was a wonderful all around beer. From the minute I poured it, with its nice amber, mahogany color and beautiful reflection, to the nice full creamy head, I simply knew I’d like it. The aroma was very malty, caramelly, and bread-like. The taste was very complex with similar malt, toffee and flavors remniscent of bread-pudding. And of course the palate was nice, smooth, and creamy like all good dunkels. Great beer, definitely my favortie dunkel thus far.
